Thing with college football is that hot teams like Bama and PSU get knee-jerk votes that don't accurately reflect how good they are. Michigan was 3 at one point. Purdue was very high last year before dropping 3 of 4.

Purdue was very high last year before dropping 3 of 4.even though i'm a bama fan i totally agree with you i don't think any team should gain ground in the rankings without playing a game but the thing i don't agree with is the thought of the tide dropping 3 of 4 at any point this season:fire: oh and the thought about michigan being number 3 i don't think any teams should be ranked at all until at least week four of the season that would really help out with the auburn situation from last year, you know OU was ranked number 2 all year so nobody wanted to drop them below auburn.

This early in the season teams like Penn State & Alabama will get knee jerk votes if they're undefeated & prove themselves vs someone that is thought to be a powerhouse (Ohio State & Florida respectively). Later in the year things like that won't happen.

FSU will blow it vs someone before they get to Florida. They still play some ACC upset teams like Virginia, MD, Clemson, & NC State. Then they'll have to play Miami or VT in the ACC championship.

thats the truth. being in the ACC is tuff enough. addin a championship game is crazy tuff.........anyone in the ACC getting a undefeated season is going to have to earn every inch of it.
