First the new Rocky movie and now Rambo.

Millennium Films (http://comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=11748#) in conjunction with Emmett/Furla Films and Equity Pictures are partnering on a $50 million Rambo (http://comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=11748#) IV, says The Hollywood Reporter (http://comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=11748#). Sylvester Stallone (http://comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=11748#) is attached to star.

The story centers on former Vietnam vet John Rambo, who is living a reclusive life back home in the U.S. But when a girl goes missing, he is forced to abandon his quiet lifestyle and take justice into his own hands.

This is proof that there is no god. A loving god wouldn't allow this to happen.

Hey, to all you guys dissing the Rambo franchise: the worst of these films is still better than what passes for action flicks right now. NONE of the current action stars has even 1/10th the cult of personality that Stallone or Schwarzeneger generated in their time.

Hell, a "Commando" sequel would trump all the crap that's out now.

Wow.. They just can't let crap die anymore. Is creativity that low that EVERY industry has do redo old stuff now?

I don't think anyone's dissing the Rambo franchise, Nabo.

But a 60 year old guy trying to pull this off? C'mon man....

;) Nothing wrong with us old guys kicking a little *** now and then...

I'm just saying that there's a void, and the worst Stallone could do with this would succeed. And BTW, I think it could be done so that it would suspend disbelief enough to be successful as entertaintment. It could end up being the best of the lot.

Stallone may be alot older now but that Kat is still in great shape. I dont think him doing rambo or rocky is bad. Its only bad if the he was doing the old story lines at his age now. The story line has to fit his age. I think they will get in on point.

I can see the Rocky thing being pulled off, what with real life boxers not being able to give it up, boxing at 50 and such. But Rambo? Sneaking around in the jungle killing mofo's? I don't know, I love the Rambo movies, and I hope he pulls it off, but I don't see it.

See, I dont think he will try to pull off the expected rambo script. The script will have to meet him where he is in life. I say if it is done right, watch out. It could be huge.

Hopefully it is a little more believable than the last one. They kept getting more & more far fetched as they went along.

Actually, I'm hoping for Green Blood: Rambo in Space. Hopefully directed by Uwe Boll or Paul W.S. Anderson. Or maybe the could co-direct it!!
