While I was at Orlando during the Halloween Horror Nights to get away from the no power here in South Florida, I stopped at the City Walk Movie Theatre instead of going inside the park to watch Saw 2. I really enjoyed it and the ending was interesting. Who else saw it? Lets discuss it. I thought it was good and gross at the same time

I thought it was pretty good also. Still not sure if I liked the ending though. Not the way I would have went. Still, overall it was a good movie.

How would you have liked the ending to be? I had a few questions I've been wanting to discuss with people that have seen both movies.

SPOILERS

I didn't like the fact that Amanda is taking over for Jigsaw when he dies. I guess my biggest fear is that they make a third movie and have her as the new villian and not have Jigsaw at all.

As for going back to the room from the first movie at the end was a great move.

I agree. I really liked the fact that they showed the room from the first one. I knew it was coming though. Yeah I don't know about Amanda taking over completely, because I don't know if Jigsaw died? I thought he was still alive.

The whole novelty of people "killing themselves" (which in and of itself is completely untrue) wore off for me in that movie.

Part of the pizzaz of the killer is that creepy voice...not to be sexist or anything, but it just wouldn't be beleivable or even close to as scary with a skinny girl at the helm.

Also, can someone explain that ending. How did that kid end up in the safe in the very room the police were in?

He was still alive. My biggest fear is that the writers kill him off before the third one starts or that they increase Amanda's role. Of course, that is if they make a third one.

The entire house killing sequence was on tape delay, which they showed at the wrong house the police went to. The kid was put in the safe before the police ever got to jigsaw's hideout.

How is "killing themselves" untrue? I doubt they'll write him off but yeah Amanda will probably have a bigger role If they choose to continue the series which they most likely will due to the success it is having and due to the ending of it.

Oh dude, come on.
If I strap a device attached to your head and give you 60 seconds to dig a key out of your eye socket before spikes go through your skull, how can you consider that self inflicted?
What's the difference between that and holding a gun to your head (instead of that contraption)?

He isn't killing them, he is letting them live they just have to do one thing or suffer the consequence...but the detective was saying the same thing as you so I understand what you are saying.

I agree, i dont like the thought of Amanda as the main role. Like Lamp said above, the creepy old guy and that voice is what makes jigsaw such an intimidating figure, not a somewhat good looking girl.

And someone help me with this, i thought jigsaw was dead in the car? I guess im wrong?

And so can someone clarify this for me. The detectives "game" was just listing and not goin insane(like he did) for 3 hours. If he did this he would of seen the kid come from out the safe, and because he lost they locked him in that room? Correct?

I think Jigsaw was still alive...not sure though.

Yeah that was the detectives game. He would have seen his son had he played the game but Jigsaw knew he wouldn't play it the way he told him to. He knew he would end up going nuts and asking him take him. Jigsaw perfectly plans everything. They did take away from the Jigsaw and the way people killed themselves a little IMO. And BTW, it was 2 hours, not three.
