After saturday's performance, Vince should be the fron-runner.

Did they lose??? I thought they won because of his playmaking ability!!! I know you don't like him, but he is carrying that team by himself. Every team they play is out to stop Vince Young and Vince Young alone. Reggie Bush has Matt Leninart and Dwayne Jarrett for teams to take the focus off of him. Vince Young is doing everything all by himself, he is by far the best player in the NCAA this year.

If Reggie Bush does not win this heisman then that is 2 that Leinart owes him.

i know you only saw the highlights on sportscenter, but for a while there it was 28-9 OSU, due in part to young's turnovers and mistakes. texas should've won that game by halftime

Vince Young is doing everything all by himself, he is by far the best player in the NCAA this year.

:sidelol:

Lets not just judge this on what these guys do vs scrub opponents (since that's the majority of Texas' games).

Vs top two opponents:
Vince Young (@Ohio St & Texas Tech): 30 of 51 509 yards 4 TDs 4 Int, 27 carries 121 yards 1 TD. While they won both, he didn't exactly put up the greatest #s. 630 all-purpose yards, average for a QB, 5 TDs & 4 TOs.

Reggie Bush (@Notre Dame & @Oregon): 35 carries 282 yards 4 TDs, 7 catches 78 yards 1 TD, 7 KR 132 yards, 7 PR 40 yards. An amazing average of 266 all-purpose yards, 5 TDs (same as Vince), at two of the most difficult places in the country to play.

Reggie Bush leads the nation in yards per carry & all-purpose yards. Reggie also has 3 more games vs ranked opponents to showcase himself, not that he needs it, while Vince faces more scrubs.

The Heisman right now is firmly in Reggie's hands.

Reggie Bush won the heisman w/ his performance against ND imo. I think then Leinart/Quinn/Young are fighting for 2nd. I just want my man to get to NY for the ceremony, which he should.

He definitely should, take Young out IMO and 2nd is between Leinart and Quinn possibly Deangelo too considering his numbers and being the only option on his team.

Deangelo is having a great season yet he is getting no media attention. Kind of odd since he got a good amount of attention towards the end of last year before he got injured.

Yeah it vexes me how that is happening I guess it is the horribly overrated Young bandwagon and the fact the media can only focus on around 3-4 players for the Heismann race.

I think its Reggie Bush's to lose. As long as he keeps his current pace for the rest of the season, the Heisman should be his.

Young is playing crap teams from here on out and he really cant "add" much more to his Heisman status. He isnt going to gain any more Heisman votes than what he already has now.

Reggie Bush gets to play a few more "tougher" games this season and can still add to his Heisman following by continuing to have strong performances in the next few games.

Leinart IMO is the wild card. His game against ND hurt him. He can still easily win this with great performances in the final few games.

Right now I believe its a 3 man race but I would give Reggie Bush the lead.

if the oklahoma state game helped out vince young, then the notre dame should help out leinart. i.e. making up for earlier mistakes, only to win the game in the end. the difference being that texas should've destroyed OSU easily and shouldn't have HAD to make a comeback

Matt Leinart, say what you want how how he played against notre dame [2ints] But when it came down to 4th and 11 and he threw a 60 yard pass to Dwayne Jarrett i didnt here anyone bashing him then...the fact of the matter is hes the best qb in all of college and with a 3rd national title for him I say give him another heisman maybe making him go down in history as the greatest college player of all time. ;)

I think that Bush and Leinart will split the USC vote and Vince Young will walk away with the Heisman.

That's what everyone thought last year about Leinart & Bush but Leinart was clearly better. This year it's the opposite & Leinart has already said that he's voting for Reggie.

every single person in every single media outlet has said reggie bush will win it. he's gonna win it folks, it's that simple

(waits for someone to prove my obvious exaggeration wrong)

I am a huge Texas fan but I honestly think Reggie Bush will win it. Vince will be the runner up but Bush is on the field to much and just makes way to many plays. I think if Reggie didn't play Special Teams then Vince would win hands down.
