Chicago Cubs (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/baseball/mlb/teams/cubs) pitcher Greg Maddux (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/baseball/mlb/players/3933) won his 15th Gold Glove on Wednesday, one shy of the record shared by pitcher Jim Kaat and third baseman Brooks Robinson.

Maddux set a record for Gold Gloves won in the National League -- Kaat won 14 in the AL and two in the NL. It was the second straight Gold Glove for Maddux and 15th in 16 seasons.

Maddux is my favorite pitchers ever. He's not what he once was but he's still a great competitor. He's a pitcher in every sense of the word. His stuff isn't over-powering but the way he paints the plate is (or shall I say was) remarkable. A sure fire hall of famer!

How on earth did Bobby Abreu win the gold glove? He may single handedly be the worst fielding player in the major leagues......

How could Manny Ramirez or Edgar Renteria not win one?

Castillo got his third consecutive Gold Glove.
Lowell (even with his pitiful numbers on offense) was given his first Gold Glove of his career. Congrats to him.

A-Gon was robbed again of his....he still hasn't won a Gold Glove yet, and I think the past 3 years he should have won at least ONCE...damn, hopefully he'll get his soon...
