View Full Version : Deactivating Voicemail?

I was wondering if anyone with Cingular (possibly Samsung phone) or any phone for that matter... knows the steps on how to deactivate your voicemail? If anyone could help ASAP, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Nabocane would know for sure. I don't have Cingular anymore but I think I used *73 when I had them to deactivate mine.

Thanks man... I just did some more searching on that... says
Q: Remove the ability to use all wireless features from your phone.:
Remove the ability to use all wireless features from your phone:
*71 + number to activate
*710 or *73 to deactivate
Where/when do you press *73?

Like you're dialing a regular number. *73 and press call.

my guess is press *73 then send.

I just did that and I got "your call cannot be completed". Going to check to see if it worked...

I just called my cell from my house phone and I still get my name and then my voicemail message. I tried going to my voicemail and deleting them both but it only lets me change them, not delete them.
