From the reads of it, Scott Stapp challenged 311 to a fight. And 311 obliged.

Naa they aren't rap. More of a mix of punk/rap/alternative. They have became a bit soft lately. They covered Love Song for the 50 first Dates soundtrack..I bet you heard that.

Creed broke up. Really, Creed just got a new singer and became Alter Bridge. And the guitar player actually solos (and shows that he's truly a badass).

311 is still big today. The singles off the new album are all over the place. I can't believe you've never heard of them. 311 is more like Raggae-infuenced Rock. Latest single is called "Don't Tread on Me". Check it out. :)

I don't doubt that Scott Stapp got drunk and talked ****. Dude's got a big ego. And he's been known to get drunk on stage, pass out and get the band sued for the ****ty show.

 I went and saw them in 99 and he almost fell off the stage at Deer Creek(our big concert venue)...It was great.

EDIT for a more clear picture: He was drinking through the whole set and they were almost finished(minus encore) singing Torn and he went up to the front of the stage were I guess the teleprompter was and did his patented put one leg up on the prompter with one arm raised but missed the teleprompter COMPLETELY and fell face first with body leaning over the front of the stage..:rofl3: :rofl3: :rofl3:

Stapp is a douche who makes douchie music for douchebags. Hated Creed...hate his solo crap. I was never a fan of 311 either, but I'd listen to them over that egomaniacal jerk anyday.

Yeah, I saw that on VH1 one time. Don't know how it started, but Fred Durst got up on stage when the started playing "Break Stuff" and started talking **** on Creed and Scott Stapp. So Scott Stapp challenged him to a charity boxing match. Fred Durst refused saying he doesn't support violence.

How ironic.

So I guess this would be a bad time for someone (like me) to admit they like Creed.

Actually, what was reported here last week was that 311 actually was the instigators. Its been on the DC radio numerous times in the past week. Stapp came into the bar drunk, like reported, but its been reported that 311 was taking the offensive. Stapp made his comments but it was said on the radio that 311 struck first.

Either way, Scott Stapp sucks and 311 rocks. Ive seen 311 8 times and they put on one of the best live shows ever. I always judge a band on how they perform live, anyone can sound good in a studio after its edited and edited and edited. 311 is one of those bands that no matter what I hear from them, it always makes my head nod.

Budd, wow, I am really shocked you have never heard of 311. They have had single after single after single on the radio for the past 15 years. If you have ever seen a cover band at your local bar, which I just realized you are 16 and never have, if they are a rock cover band they might throw a 311 song in there because they are good cover band songs.

I still crack up when I picture Scott Stapp standing squarely with chin held high and proclaiming: "311, I am ready to fight you!"

Nah. Read the entire atricle.

I think this guy get a rep like Sam Madison. Everytime something goes wrong, it's always his fault. Of course, there's also no getting around the fact that they're both jerks.
