I think it's one of the best rock albums of the past ten years...While it isn't nearly as powerful as it seemed when I was younger (What rock album is?), ten years later it's still an extremely catchy album that brings back a lot of good (and bad) memories...

It's definitely a rock masterpiece IMO. What do you think?

I'm sure we can all agree on one thing: Rivers Cuomo is one messed up dude...

Rock masterpiece is a strong statement, and I don't know that that album lives up to it.

I won't say Masterpiece, but it is a good album.

Granted...it's a good album. It's the "masterpiece" thing that kinda throws ya for a loop.

Tommy by the Who, now THAT'S a masterpiece. A Night At The Opera by Queen, albums like that...;)

I think Rock Masterpiece, and thats not in the first 50 albums that pop into my head. Its nothing against the album, but it just isn't in that company in my head.

Dark Side of the Moon
The White Album
Sgt Pepper
Tommy

Just tough company.

Perhaps masterpiece is a bit too strong of a word. There are definitely 30-40 albums that I think are better. I think it's probably the best album of the last ten years, though, but does that alone make it qualify for masterpiece status? I think so, but maybe it's just me...

I'd have to think really hard on what I think of in the last ten years.

Best album of the last 10 years? Isn't that like being the best football team in Iran? Not a whole helluva lot to go up against.

Besides...Iron Maiden's "Brave New World" is a better album, and I don't even consider THAT the best of the last ten years. There is no way to say which album is the "best".

It's all a matter of opinion. ;)
