In a funny side note, My teacher for narrative class was Brett RAttner's teacher, and he tells us all these stories of him in school... Today a friend, that had never been to the class but was the DP of a classmates project hears that the teacher is mentioning rattner, and he says, wow, but rattner sucks... Teacher went ballistic on him... really funny... I guess.

No listing on imdb.com yet for Gambit. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0376994/combined

I agree Kelsey Grammer should make an excellent Beast. It's going to take a heck of a lot of costume work but his voice and demeanor should be close to spot on.

Now let's hope the storyline is actually there. I am a bit concerned with Ratner directing this one.

Got it working! I think its going to be good Juggernaut is in it but I don't think he plays a huge role.

He looks better in the trailer than there. He looks like a blue leprechaun in that pic.

Don't get me wrong, I am not liking the direction of this film, but he wasn't necessarily Hulk size. Well, maybe his feet were...

As for Juggernaut, you can see him in the trailer. Just pause it on the beginning of the forest scene where Magneto is giving his speech with a bunch of mutants behind him. If you look on the right you see someone else too. You can also see Juggernaut later inside the weird capsule thing that I assume Magneto is helping him to escape from and on the bridge.

Also, you can go slow over Famke Janssen in short shorts if you are a perv like me. ;)

Other mutants supposedly in it: Omega Red, Multiple Man, M (sweet if its the same one/two/three...), Emma Frost, Kitty Pryde, and Callisto. What is weird is that they make Multiple Man and Callisto bad guys, which they usually weren't. You can see the two of them behind Magneto in the woods too.

Anyone know the storyline? I thought Jean Grey died in the last one?

I've heard they may add Gambit, one of the actors from LOST is supposedly possible for the part.

The storyline isn't too different from the second one, which is kind of annoying. Another sort of "kid-x" that Magneto wants to use, etc. As for Jean Grey, she did die, sort of. In the comics (and this) she becomes the super-powerful Phoenix. As for Gambit, luckily they cut his part, though it was just going to be a cameo part anyways.

One of the many problems I had with this movie seems to be confirmed by the trailer. They are going to try to fit too many mutants into it, including important ones with very little character building. That spelled doom for the other Batman series (or at least one of several things that spelled doom for that crap pre-Batman Begins). That and Ratner sucks ***. He is more concerned with blowing stuff up than the story.

Yeah I remember the Phoenix thing now.Sorry for going off-topic, but that reminds me of a DC (I was a DC kid, so sue me) set of characters, teenage alien good-guys, all with different superpowers. I'm trying to remember the name of the group. I remember Saturn Girl (she was hot), Colossal Boy, and Chemical King, and no others. Somebody chip in.

I think so. That looks like Saturn Girl's costume, though here she looks a lot older. I remember in the comics she kind of looked like Jennifer Tilly.

New movie?

Costumes were much more flattering.

Problem with these movies is they can't make up for more than 30 years of character development in a two hour flic. So because the kids like stuff blowing up and mutants fighting that's what you get. Hey that's the way it is these days. So if any of you old fans of the comics (like myself) really wish for more from it, beware, it ain't coming. But if you like eye candy and fighting it should be up your alley. I do have to say though I'm getting tired of the movies solely centering on the battle of ideals between Professor X and Magneto. This is 3 movies of hammering us with the same arguement, a new villianous mastermind would have been nice............Apocalypse anyone??

We'll, Magneto is the main villian (if you can call him that) of the X-men.

I was hoping that the Sentinals would be the main topic in this movie. If anyone remebers the cartoon series (LOVED that show as a kid, it was awesome) the series starts with "Night of the Sentinals." I was hoping for a similar story line. Maybe for #4 (if they do it past #3).

True, but being a comic geek myself, it is possible to make a movie about them and develop a storyline at the same time as both previous X-men, Spiderman 1&2, and Batman Begins have all done. The only reason they are moving away from that is because they want the quickest buck out of a franchise they don't want to bring past 3. And what's up with these kid-x type of storylines? lame. Apocalypse would be awesome.

I heard they were going to do a Weapon X (creation of Wolverine) movie. Anyone else heard of this?

Also, the best Marvel mini series comic ever was The Infinity Gauntlet...anyone remember that...it had everyone....Thanos was the bad guy, it was awesome. Think it was made around 97

I think the kid X thing is due too a big part of movie dollars comes from teenagers and that general peer group.

Apocalypse would be cool to see in a Marvel movie.

I remember that. Thanos was an interesting villain. He was a big part of the Captain Marvel story line who was one of my favorite Marvel characters. He was killed off though so he wasn't in Ifinity Gaunlet except for a small part where Adam Warlock ran into his spirit somewhere I believe if I am not confusing it with a differnt story. Was it 97? Seems it was older than that.

Thanos was the whole reason the Infinity Gauntlet was put together...all those superheros on the cover in the picture...they're all rushing Thanos. He IS the storyline. I am such a dork.

No I meant Captain Marvel was killed, by cancer I think. Warlock ran into Marvels spirit in a cave on some planet. And Drax the destroyer was brought back to fight Thanos in that series too. Wasn't Thanos corting a female incarnation of death in the Infinty Gauntlet? I rember he did at one point but not exactly sure when it was.
