Okay, this just started happening today, the only thing I know of that may have caused it was i installed Yahoo messanger.. but here is what has been happening..

Usually I'll have between 10-15 IE windows open (well minimized) and they will be on different pages I want them on like FinHeaven, Yahoo Fantasy SPorts, ESPN.com, etc.. Well today sometime it started doing this thing where it will only let me have 1 IE window at a time. Like I'm on FH now, but if i go down to start and hit IE this FH window will be gone and I will get a new window with Google and that will be my only open IE window..

Any Ideas?

is there an arrow on the bottom of your screen showing that it stacked them? Can you send us a screenshot?

Yea but then if you do freesites like me your credit won't show up cause firefox destroys cookies.

Well, notsomuch. Firefox doesn't 'destroy' cookies. Depending on how the cookie is created, however, Firefox may or may not treat it differently. If a cookie is created by ASP or PHP from a session, though the cookie itself is browser related, it should be accepted without any problems. If the cookie is, as I suspect in this case, created by JavaScript, there may be some problems. While the former two methods are essentially server based, the latter, JavaScript, is client based - basically, it's interpreted entirely by your browser. Besides tabbed browsing, which allows you to have those 10-15 pages open in a single, easily managed window, Firefox's main draw is a marked improvement in security. Part of this security comes in its handling of potentially malicious JavaScript, the same nasty kind that causes pop-ups, and what have you. Long story, short, you really sound like you need Firefox, this "freesites" business be damned.

You also could have had "hijacking" spyware. Sometimes I get that, and it does different things depending on which one it is. Sometimes it will reset my homepage, sometimes it will make it so no matter what page I type in I'm brought to a different page (usually trying to sell me something, sometimes it's a porn page), stuff like that. It's easily solved by running spyware or adware programs. If you system restored though then I guess you're all set.

Seems to happen to me when I go to sites like College Humor. Doesn't happen on the actual College Humor site, but on sites like it, that have the funny videos and pictures.

Well, the thing with College Humor and eBaums and the like is that they don't have content of their own - they just 'harvest' (another word for steal) content from around the web and put it on their sites. If they show that little regard for the people who made these things, gotta assume that they have as little regard for their viewers, and won't hesitate to place spyware installers on their sites, in further efforts to screw everyone else and make cash.

pretty much. you can even see on their sites that all the banner adds on the side are for eithe rporn stuff or "adult" stores or those sites like friendster and stuff but for "adults" where it is like a naked girl "from your area" that wants to meet you for a "casual hookup" lollol, what a joke. Anyway, usually this stuff doesn't get my comp but on the rare occasion it does SpyDoctor, SpyBot, Ad-Aware, any of those fix it.
