View Full Version : Is there a worse death?....I can't think of one.

Man dies after being pulled into a wood chipper. (http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2005/12/29/colo_man_dies_in_wood_chipper_accident/)

If they were to take a piece, and clone him, would that give a new meaning to "chip off the old block"?

/ I know.....I've already booked a window seat.

Could've been worse though - he could've gone in feet first.

I don't know man... I think I'd rather go like that than starving to death... Or even worse, being sliced (slowly -- Different than a wood chipper. Think the ham slicing machine the grocery store... Starting from your feet.) to death.

I think they got rid of some guy in the movie Fargo with one of these wood chipper machines. You would think that OSHA would have regulations which would make it impossible for a person to fall into one of these machines. Somebody is gonna be in big trouble.....I would rather die this way then being buried alive...that's the worst.

One of Hiassens characters, the former Miami DA that lives in Stiltsville, puts someone through a chipper on Key Biscayne, there is humour there too.

Love Hiaasen. Formulaic, but fun reads. I think Skink is one of the greatest characters ever.

As a 5th generation Floridian who has considerable time in the swamps and Everglades, a pioneer historian who hates developers and Disney, Skink is my hero...I want to BE Skink, I want to lick Bufo toads and strap myself to the Card Sound Bridge for a hurricane... HERO I say!

:sidelol: Well, you can certainly get started on the toad thing, no shortage of them where I used to live.

But having fished from the Card Sound Bridge, I wouldn't advise trying to emulate Skink there. Might be your last mortal act.

You could, however, go the proper route and be elected Governor of Florida first.
