View Full Version : Moving Threads

I think you guys just make more work for yourselves sometimes..

In particular, threads that DO have some relevance to the Dolphins, like the Phillip Rivers threads today.. These threads were posted for potential implications Rivers play may have on the Dolphins QB issue.. So what happens, people post on the main forum, thinking it has some relevance, to alert Dolfans.. But its quickly moved.. So others dont think others have posted it, and continue to post on the main forum..

Had the thread never been moved, most likely there wouldnt have been so many new threads to be merged, because people would have seen the original thread.

I dont think threads that have SOME relevance to the Dolphins should be moved.

I hear what you're saying, but here's our side of it:

Everything can be made to "relate to the Dolphins" - it then becomes a matter of where the lines are already drawn for determining where we'd like certain subjects to be discussed.

We're encouraging members to visit and use other parts of the site as they do the Dolphins' forum; the Phins' forum will always have the lion's share of the traffic, but it's important to support and make use of the forums like General NFL and College/Draft...after all, that's why we have them.:)

By redirecting threads that discuss something or someone that is not currently a part of the Dolphins, we're encouraging everyone to make more and better use of the features of this site.

I hope that answers your question at least in substance; even though you may not agree, I hope you can see our point as well.

Enjoy the site...ALL of it!
