The news channels just reported said that was a miscommunication. 12 out of the 13 were found dead. One survived, but is in critical condition.

No :censored: way. That is completely wrong. Those families went through all that suffering and then heard they could have family alive only to find out that it was all a lie? It wouldn't surprise me if fights started breaking out over this.

Very sad, indeed. The families were basically lied to.

Yeah, but those take time. These families have to be pissed right now.

Yes, needless to say, I'd be pissed too if I was told one of my family members had survived an accident only to find out later it wasn't the truth.

Check out MSNBC....they're interviewing the family members. They're calling it an injustice and they do plan on bringing on a lawsuit.

Whoa are you serious?! I saw on Yahoo earlier that 12 were found alive and was so happy for them and their families. Holy ****! What a HUGE screw up. Wow. I'm completely shocked.

It wouldn't surprise me if fights started breaking out over this. They said on CNN radio this morning that the other miners had to stop some of the family members from getting at the rescue worker who made the error, apparently they tried to fight with them. What a sad situation, the person who made the error was probably very excited to inform everyone at first, then felt like a complete peice of trash when the mistake was discovered.

If the families do bring a lawsuit I would lose all respect for them. I'm sure that no one lied on purpose, that is absolutely ridiculous.

the mining company never had any press release or communication to the status of the miners untill confirmation. the news of 12 alive was started from others based on the fact that the rescue crew said they had found 12 of them. the assumptions were the 12 were alive and well when you assume it makes an a$$ out of U and Me (get it a-s-s-u-m-e) my heart goes out to those that lost

The lawsuits will be brought on from the anger over the miscommunication, but the ammo will be the 50+ citations the Plant has had regarding safety issues for workers, etc.

Simmer down....wait till you get all the facts (just like some others failed to do) before you make judgements such as this.

Sheesh will some never learn from others mistakes.
