Just wondering what we have this year so far:confused:

I believe it looks like this: 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 7, 7

Our 5th goes for Manny Wright. Our 6th went to SD for Cleo Lemon.

Is there any possiblity of packing those 7th rounders for like a 5 or 6th or something of that caliber?

I'm still hoping someone can tell me about the "conditional draft pick" that was supposedly part of our trade of... crap. The special teams ace... what was his name... hold on, I'll find it...

here...

The Miami Dolphins traded linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo, a Pro Bowl alternate on special teams last season, to the Chicago Bears on Monday for tight end John Owens and a conditional draft pick.

Anybody know anything about that?

Ok, thanks. I thought we aquired another 5th or 6th from somewhere.

even if they could, I'm not sure I would want to. Nick picked very wisely in the 7th last year... him having three picks there makes me more happy than one 5th or 6th, personally.

Miami has a #7 pick from Green Bay (OG Brad Bedell)

Miami has a #7 from Chicago (LB Brendon Ayanbadejo)

We also got a conditional 7th rounder from New Orleans, (RB Jesse Chatman) but he got cut, so we didn't get the pick.

Not sure we still have 3 7th rounders. One of them was a conditional 7th we acquired from the Saints,. and the guy we traded (Chatman) didn't meet the condition.

Ah, THANK YOU, TXfinfan.

So we already got the conditional pick. Was it only conditional on him making the team? Is that why we knew so early?

I was hoping, considering what a year he had, that it might have ended up higher.

But any pick is welcome.

We already have the picks from GB and Chicago. Both players made the teams. I heard the GB pick might turn into a 6th rounder based on the conditions, but I have not seen that confirmed anywhere.

It's enough picks to make something happen. I hope Saban picks plenty of questionable players that dropped. We got Fred Gibson and Kay-Jay Harris last year which was great considering their draft value.

I may be wrong but I could have sworn that I heard we had 2 5th rounders when we picked up Wright in the supplemental draft. Can anyone verify this?Yes, it was stated at the time we had two 5th round choices. Actually, it was ESPN that wrote that in their article right after we drafted him. However, that was a mistake. It was obvious that ESPN either realized the mistake or was told by someone, because an hour or two later it was corrected. We have no 5th rounder in the upcoming draft.

I know it takes place in New York but has anyone ever gone to it. My friend and I were talking about going and i was just wondering if anyone knows how much it costs and where it's located. Any information would help.

Thanks a lot.

Ive gone the past 2 years, going again this year.

Its free of charge except whatever concessions you buy (obviously). Its first come first serve though so get there really early if you plan on going. Like 7 at latest. But bring a book or an ipod cause they dont start letting people in til like 1030-11ish and the line gets long fast.

The past 20 years it was held in MSG until it got moved last year to the Hilton where it was held prior to 1985. The contract ran out between the nfl and MSG and so the NFl got ticked at Madison Square Garden Network cause MSG openly campaigned against the Jets new stadium @ the west side rail yard site. No word yet on where its going to be this year though I know theyre thinking of moving it around to a new city every year

Boik, how was it viewing wise last year compared to the years at the MSG Theatre ? I heard that a lot of people were diverted off to side rooms to watch on closed circuit because the actual draft room was a lot smaller. Thinking of going again this year.

I had gone for about 6 years in a row until two years ago when we got there our usual 6:30/7:00 and still didn't get in because they actually had given out a bunch of the armbands to get tickets the night before (something they never did before). That ticked me off after driving the 2 to 2 1/2 hours to get there. We ended up watching round one at the ESPN zone then going to Coyote Ugly so it was still a fun day but not what we had planned.

Rumor has it the draft will be held at Radio City Music Hall in NYC.

I've only gone once two years ago and while normally it is first come first serve (unless you have tickets/assigned seating), that year if you didn't have a ticket, you didn't get in. That's just meant as a caveat in case something happens where general admission isn't available. With the Jets drafting so high, who knows, it may happen again.

Thinking about going again this year...helps knowing folks that work for the NFL.

It was fine. I got there bright and early bright eyed and bushy tailed and so i wasnt diverted but ya some people were cause the Marriot isnt nearly a big enough venue.

As far as the armbands, ya I definitely knew I left something out just forgot what it was. I want to go again this year (year 3 in a row).

And LOL @ going to Zone, that place is such a rip. Then again its probably the only place that televised the whole thing so I guess you gotta do what you gotta do.

How does it work for playoff teams? Because according to nfldraftcountdown, Denver (via Washington) has the 22nd pick, before teams that were knocked out before Washington (Tampa etc.) Since Washington advanced, shouldnt they have a worse pick than Tampa? If this website's order is correct, then the draft order is based strictly on the regular season and your playoff round exit means nothing. Is this a mistake? Can someone clarify?

It is done by regular season records except for the two super bowl teams they pick 31, 32

Since Cutler will likely be gone, I think we should go after Croyle. He's a better decision maker than Whitehurst. Saban emphasizes not making mental mistakes, and Whitehurst is a walking mental mistake. Plus Croyle's development under Shula may give him an edge in terms being NFL-ready.

No, I am 100% sure our 2006 5th rounder was used in 2005 in the supplemental draft by taking Wright in the 5th round before the season.

I am not aware of any additional 5th rounder from Tenn for 2006.

Here are the average Wonderlic score for NFL draftees, I will post a link later. A funny line is " the closer you are to the ball the higher your score has to be.

Any guesses on specific players score? I am curious if any of the QB's score really low, less than 15, if it affects their draft status.

I have heard that Cutler is pretty smart. I wonder how Leinart, Young, Whitehurst, and Croyle score.

Wonderlic scores:
Offensive tackles: 26
Centers: 25
Quarterbacks: 24
Guards: 23
Tight Ends: 22
Safeties: 19
Middle linebackers: 19
Cornerbacks: 18
Wide receivers: 17
Fullbacks: 17
Halfbacks: 16
