Anyone think the Steelers stand a chance against the Colts? I do, but I don't think they'll be able to pull it out. That Indi crowd is going to be ruthless. I say 30-21 Colts

Why the hell is BIG BEN wearing a glove on his throwing hand playing in a Dome???????????

Have you ever tried a pair of those gloves on? It's like having stick-em on. With Dwight Freeney coming from his blind side he's gonna need help holding onto the ball.

2 yards is an awful lot to risk. and you need points after going on such a long drive.

the Colts are down 11 but get the ball first in the second half. there's no need to worry yet.

their defense however, has not looked great teh entire half. the only time they've stopped Ben Roethlisberger is when they were able to force him to leave the pocket, and when they can't, he has picked them apart.

RunningBackGuru
01-15-2006, 03:24 PM
They finally got on the board.

CrunchTime
01-15-2006, 03:33 PM
If the Colts are true champions and I believe they are they will suck it up in the second half and play up to their potential.

Thats what separates the champions from the average. The ability to come back from adversity and win.

Metal Panda
01-15-2006, 03:35 PM
11 points with the Colts offense under normal circumstances is nothing.

Can they come back and win? Yes. Will they? I think so, but that's not something I'm saying with utmost certainty.

mor911
01-15-2006, 03:37 PM
I'm still taking the Colts to win. That last drive proved to me that they can (and will) drive the ball against the Steelers D for 3+ TDs in the second half.

PeytonsForehead
01-15-2006, 03:37 PM
Nice half by Pittsburgh. Ben came out on fire! They did an awesome job on the defensive side, too. The Colts have to do a better job of pass coverage if they're going to win this one. They got a nice rhythm going there in the second quarter. It'll be interesting to see if they come out with the same rhythm to start the second half.

Pittsburgh's D better be ready for a different Colts team in the second half. You can't hold down the big three for a whole game. The Steelers have the D to limit them, though. I have a feeling, though, Harrison is going to come out big to start the 3rd quarter. Edgerrin will get going as well.

01-15-2006, 04:10 PM
The Colts defense looks like last year's defense. They are giving up too many big plays. The Steelers had gameplaned well for this game. Putting pressure on Manning is the key of the game. And it looks like that are doing well on that part. I really thought that the Colts would be crushing the Steelers, but I guess it's gonna be the other way around. I expect a 27-13 score.

That's what I'm starting to think. Small fast defenses usually are good for the regular season because they don't give up many yards, but they'll wear down in physical games, and will tire out (and to be honest, outside of June, the Colts LBs aren't that good).

Another reason for the Steelers' success is Big Ben being healthy. The first time these 2 played each other, Ben had just come back from knee surgery.

True, but it definitely would have most likely cost them the game had they not converted. That alone would've been reason enough. Props to Manning for the converion, though. He showed why he's one of the best in that drive.

01-15-2006, 04:27 PM
I think what's hurting the Colts drafting is that they just draft players that have no value. I mean comon I can understand scheme and everything, but HOW MANY times have they reached to grab players with no value all they because "fit" the cover 2? The OL is completely stupid because they can't get any push. Other than Tarik Glenn they don't have a talented OL. They don't have a true burner at WR either.

For it to be complete you have to maintain possesion throughout, even after hitting the ground

For the catch to have been complete he would have had to be touched, or raised off the ground completley

He had the ball but you have to maintain it as your on the ground untill the play is over or you get up

When he went to get up one knee was still on the ground while the other kicked it out

Therefor no possesion maintained throughout being on the ground and an incompletion
