Mike Preston, of the Baltimore Sun, reports Balitmore Ravens head coach Brian Billick recently warned team officials that CB Chris McAlister might not be with the team for the 2006 season. McAlister has five years left on his contract worth $36 million. He received a $10 million signing bonus in October of 2004 and another $7.5 million during the spring of 2005.

No thank you. I've watched this guy play for 2 seasons now. He either looks lost, or he's running at half speed. He has 2 ways of playing: getting burned or committing a penalty. You know-Reggie Howard with an even BIGGER contract.

reading a book by john feinstein about the inside look at the 2004 ravens... it doesn't paint mcalister in a very positive light at all, in terms of his effort, his training, nor his maturity..... book is called "Next Man Up".... add to that his contract? no thx

Yeah, rumor is Baltimore Ravens are interested in Michael Huff. So I am not that surprised if they do end up trading him.

Michael Huff and Ed Reed vs Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison, oh that division rival will grow. =)

That would be just flat out stupid, McCallister should be the least of their worries, they have the best lineman in the league, yet one of the worst lines...what does that tell u...They have a 2000 yard rusher entering his prime age, and he didnt even get 1000 yards...

Obviously they gotta get Olineman, especially some good gaurds. And maybee even go for a QB like favre or even brad johnson. Boller has phailed. Yes he got hurt, but even before he got hurt, he wasnt playing well at all. I dont really see potential..then again im no scout.

Whatever.

McAlister is the most overrated CB in the league. He's a great tackler but his coverage skills are vastly overrated, you can even ask the Raven fans. Samari Rolle is their best CB. If we go after any veteran CB I'd prefer Nate Clements or an older Charles Woodson.

I think we should get him. I don't think he is overrated at all. We should spend the $$ on him instead of spending it on T.O.
