Some company needs to sponsor the whole thing to the tune of 1 million to the winner. That will bring the big dogs back to the table and we can see some real dunks.

He's got to be the sentimental favorite to win because of his height. Just like Steve Francis & Spud Webb.

There's a reason why there's a dunk contest in NBA LIVE. Besides it's good to see who else can dunk.

From what i've seen from the college outlook the most athletic player in last years draft was hakim warrick, the guy could make any dunk...he'll do the same at the dunk contest

LeBron needs to go. So does Kobe. I like the one million dollar idea to get the big guys to show up.

You are kidding right? NBA Live is not the same as watching the pros. Youre Telling me youd rather see the 4 that are participating this year over the 3 I mentioned? :rolleyes2

No love for Josh Smith.. The kid is pretty big and can jump out of the gym. With another year of conditioning and practice, I am pretty sure he will be ready to defend his title.

Thats kinda how warrick is. Hes wirey and athletic.

Forget the whole stupid dunk contest; it hasn't been any good since the MJ-Nique duel in '87. Why don't they play H-O-R-S-E instead? Who WOULDN'T watch that?

I thought Vince looked pretty good a couple years ago. And H-O-R-S-E wouldn't be as popular because you wouldn't have the 'show' (acrobatics and funky ideas) that you have in the dunk contest. But I agree that in the last 3 years the quality's gone down because the real stars aren't interested anymore while all the young guys with hops want to have their 30 seconds of fame.

You think so? Personally, I think people would love to tune in to see if LeBron James behind-the-back three pointer could put an H on Ray Allen after he misses a shot from row F, section 135.

H-O-R-S-E would be crazy....but it would take a long time to play.
