I wouldnt mind studying to become one, i really love animals, altho im not that great at science. I used to work at a veterinary hospital, and i think its like 7 years of studying...im not sure. Has anyone studied it or know much about it???

Where I live it is harder to get into vet school than it is to get into regular medical school becasue there are so many people that want to do it. Theres a joke that says your doctor probably wasn't good enough to be a vet, so he/she went into family practice.

My girlfriejd is studying to be a vet. Just be warned that you have a crapload of school ahead of you.

Vet medicine is one of the hardest diciplines to not only get into (some schools have an average admit gpa of 3.8 or higher) and actuall course work. Then when you get out, you make less than a family doc. Just to let you know it isnt all roses.

They have one of the best Vet schools at CSU here in Colorado....it is a lot of work..and you have to know your science. But if you love animals and this is your dream...I say go for it.
