Went to pay for it today...and got to drive her! However, got REALLY pissed off when they brought it out to me. The factory screwed up royal and shipped the car with the wrong rims!

The dealer is going to correct that little misstep while the car is in the bodyshop being painted. This is how she looks now:

I dont know about the red interior. Looks like you should have some fuzzy pink dice and leopard skin floormats to match. Otherwise, it's pretty damn tight.

You'll see the difference when the red racing stripes are on there. Compliments the interior. Besides, the whole interior isn't red...there's more black in there than red. ;)

Very nice.... I didnt know the mustang was offered with the rims that are on it. What rims did you order? I kinda like the ones that are on it now. The only other rims I can picture are the ugly spoke ones that come standard on the V6.....

You better put an intake, headers, and a new exhaust on that baby and get her breathing better.......

Not a fan of mustangs in general but I agree the red interior is my favourite part because of the nice clash between the black, red and metallic colours.

BTW am I the only one that was reminded of the Sopranos, look at the background, the buildings, the cars, it's eerily similar to the Sopranos set. Wonder if you picked it up in Jersey...

Thanx everyone...now starts the two or three longest weeks of my life as I wait for her to be completed. I got a small taste of driving her and now I want more!

She's got 300 at the flywheel Dub, which comes out to about 260-270 at the rear wheels. She's staying white, and the stripes will be torch red, same as the interior accents.

I still say real man drive Mini Vans!

I take your approval most to heart bro, you being the gearhead that you are. Yea, those are called the polished aluminum rims, I ordered the premium aluminum ones. They look like this:

Totally look like Cragars. Hey, if you're going to have a retro musclecar, let it LOOK like a retro musclecar!

Actually Dove, that's Norwalk Connecticut. The owner of that dealership used to be my wife's boss at a different dealer. He got me a sweet price.

Here's a few more shots. When I went to the dealer I dropped off some of the mods I bought, but I held them up against the car to see if the fit was correct.

This is the rear blackout panel and the taillight trim:

http://www.finheaven.com/clear.gif

And this is one of the side window louvers:

http://www.finheaven.com/clear.gif

Two more quick photos...they had a GT in the showroom. Not a Mustang GT, the ANIMAL $167,000 Ford GT. The owner let me sit in it AND start it. It was horsepower orgasm.

This is me sitting in the car:

http://www.finheaven.com/clear.gif

And this is me in the driver's seat. It has the be the most clautraphobic car cockpit I've ever been in. The roof of the car was below my chest when I stood next to it, and I'm only 5'7". When you open the door, half the roof is part of the door and swings out so you don't give yourself a concussion getting in this thing. The engine has to be heard to be believed.

Man, I wish I could afford this puppy....

Dude have you ever DRIVEN one? INSANE. My boss' son got a black one with yellow stripes for Xmass (my boss makes like 80 mil a year from alll his clubs, and his only son is DEFINATELY spoiled) and we took it out, that thing is NUTS. I almost felt like I was sitting in a formula one car the way the cockpit was so cramped, it was definately the smallest I've been in (aside from the formula one cars at a driving school in Italy and the NASCAR stock car at the Richard Petty school). There isn't much to say about it that words can describe. I've driven Ferraris, Vipers, Lambos, all the high end cars (Hawai'i and southern California are rich people playgrounds, lol ) and that one (the Ford GT) I can honestly say is the only on I have ever felt like it was almost TOO much power. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED it, lol, but with every other high powered car I have ever driven I have felt completely in control and comfortable with the power, even when I have attended race schools, but that thing, there was just something about it that kept me on edge. I'm not necessarily saying that it is the most powerful car I have ever driven, but something about the overall experience of that car has left the biggest lasting impression on me of all the cars I have ever driven. If you ever get the chance man you gotta drive it. IDK about NY but in Hawai'i and SoCal there are TONS of places to rent high end cars like that, they can get pricey (I rented a Ferrari last month and it was $1,000 a day), but if you can afford it without leaving yourself broke then its a DEFINATE must-do.

FinsNCanes
02-06-2006, 09:46 PM
The tight cockpit compliments your huggers well though.

Sorry, had to.

Anyway, I'm actually suprised they even let you sit in it. Usually with cars like that they're kind of crappy about that stuff. Out of curiousity..Agent..what is it you do to where you can spend 1000 a day to rent a Ferrarri?
