The Detroit Pistons (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketball/nba/teams/pistons) were trying to figure out what went wrong in a rare road loss.

Kenyon Martin (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketball/nba/players/3400) had 28 points and 12 rebounds and Carmelo Anthony (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketball/nba/players/3706) added 25 points to help the Denver Nuggets (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketball/nba/teams/nuggets) beat the Pistons 98-87 on Wednesday night.

"I was trying to provide a lift for us and give us some energy, but it wouldn't come," said Denver native Chauncey Billups (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketball/nba/players/3174), who led the Pistons with 27 points. "There were a couple of gimmes that we missed. I made the tough ones and missed the easy ones."

Richard Hamilton (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketball/nba/players/3330) added 19 points for Detroit, which had its six-game winning streak snapped. The NBA's best road team lost for only the eighth time in 29 games away from home.

Pistons lose to Lakers....with Kobe sick and throwing up. Nice Job Kobe...

Can you feel that Detroit? Yep...your lead is now in single digits over the Heat. (Not that we are gonna catch them....but they need a sweat).

Has a player ever thrown up on another player during a game? Would that warrant a technical foul, or a foul of any sort?
