Hello members -

I know everyone is probably getting frustrated about the slow times with FinHeaven every now and then. Simply put, we have never experienced this many users on at one time. We've been hitting 1,800+ users. Our old record was 1,200...

Saying this, we are looking into having a second server installed for FinHeaven. If things go as plan, everything will be extremely quick by the end of this week.

I apologize for any inconvenience; however, we are all over it!

Sincerely,
AJ

Not a problem. I'm sure everyone understands the slugishness. Once a QB is signed, i'm sure everything will go back to normal.

Thanks. It's the waiting on a QB that is creating the problems!

But, if we're getting hit this hard in March what's it going to be like on draft day? Or when the season starts?

We're looking forward also.

This site just gets better all the time.....FH is getting slammed because of the QB situation since it is the ONLY site for true Dolphin news. It's great to see the FH "bigwigs" :D coming out and just giving the truth....."it's slow because of amazing growth...we are working on it".

This site is awesome!!

We had 2,900 in the chargers.com forums when AJ Smith did his state of the Chargers address, saying that we were not going to transition tag Drew. So I wonder if u guys can catch that record if he signs with u guys.

In some ways FH is a victim of its own success.Fortunately there is an easy solution which is to increase the server capacity. That will take a couple of days.

In the meanwhile we as posters can try to help by avoiding the following actions where possible.

1.Using smilies

2.Using signatures. You can inactivate them for the time being in the user CP...Edit Options

3.Opening all the threads .You can try hovering over the threads with your mouse to see if you are really interested in opening them.

4.Opening more than web page at a time .

5.Posting photos or gifs

6.Using search functions.

7.Posting too much .The non football related threads particularly..

8.Using the Edit Feature.

9.Not logging off when we are doing something else

Individually it probably wont affect the load that much but if we all try to help collectively it will add up.

BTW this is only my idea and does it not represent the opinion of the management.

Crunch, can you make that hover feature last longer or stay permanent to read it all before it fades away...I like the feature alot, but it can be frustrating as it fades away and you dont always have time to read it all, then you have to move off, and back on in hopes it reappears, etc.

Just a thought!

I have little doubt. The 1800+ number is with the server punch drunk. If we can sustain the load, I think we'll get there.

If we had the budget that the San Diego Chargers have, we'd be sitting pretty.
