View Full Version : Retro Review - Rumble Racing By Ea Games

Yes people I'm actually going to compliment an EA Game. I stumbled on this little gem when testing it as a defective at work. Rumble Racing by EA is surprisingly extremely addicting. It is arcade to the core and that is absolutely ok with me in a racing game for once. It's like Mario Kart evolved. You drive some stompers generically titled, for example there is a Dodge Daytona with some funky name. You have pickups that can either help or hurt you and you cruise around some cool circuits that have shortcuts interlaced (similar to most EA racing titles). One extremely awesome aspect is the ability to turn your car in mid-air in ANY DIRECTION by holding R2 and using the right toggle. If you land it, it produces a sweet speed burst....if you don't you'll pay. I recommend this title as a really dirt cheap pick up that's a crap load of fun. It's pretty old at this point so the price is down there. This ranking at www.GAMERANKINGS.com is spot on ~~~> http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/459739.asp . I'd say this assesment is fairly accurate. I'd give it an 8 out of 10.
NOTE: For those with older PS2 Models, this title is a blue disc so, just like me you may be S.O.L. Luckily my bro has a Slim Model so it's all good.

I have that game! It is super fun, I played it for a long time, but I only bought it because my old Nascar Rumble game stopped working! Nascar Rumble rocks! I got it for like $4 right after PS2 came out.
