I did not watch the game Sunday and from what i've seen on ESPN i'm glad i missed it!!

I've heard comments like that they should of just stayed home because they did'nt show up!! And thats being nice!

Seems like when we need to step it up and play head to head with a real team we just fold.......

Well folks we have'nt lost two straight all year.......we better keep that streak alive this coming Saturday!!!!!

12-17-2001, 10:34 AM
a win Saturday and all will be well again.

12-17-2001, 10:39 AM
I have a very good feeling going into this game. I would hope that the team will regroup and put some smack on the Patsies......

I watched the Buffalo game and the patsies looked weak.......

On December 22nd we will find out what we're made of.......

12-17-2001, 10:40 AM
On December 22nd we will find out what we're made of....... exactly

12-17-2001, 10:48 AM
One thing for sure is that we need not have any turnovers. Not even one!

I've given Fielder too many chances this year......I've taken a beating from fellow Finfans about this subject.

Fiedler needs to take a seat on the bench and have Lucas or Cade start. And for me to say Cade start you know i'm grasping at straws!!!! hahahhahahahahaha...........

I'm glad this game is on Saturday though..........lets get it on!!!!!

Coming from NE i will be there with all my aqua and orange on and routing for the best team in the NFL.........

Go Fins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

12-17-2001, 10:51 AM
at 9-4 you do not change QB's. At 2-3 or 2-4, but not 9-4. We will live or die with Jay this year. It is up to Wanne and Gailey and the high-priced D to make it the former.

12-17-2001, 11:04 AM
I totally agree......I've just had it with Jay.......

I have always said that replacing the qb makes things worst but i think it is time for a change.

We are not going anywhere this year........so lets just go out there and throw someone else in! Why wait for next year.......

12-17-2001, 11:14 AM
put your backup in now and see if you have to go for a QB in the off season. you'll never know unless YOU DO! :yell:

12-17-2001, 11:17 AM
An article this morning on how Elvis could not even pass the ball in the second 1/2 in view of injured ribs!!

We could'nt even find a way to beat a team without a QB??????

That really hurts........I can't figure this team out......

 :yell: :(

12-17-2001, 11:23 AM
or did you mean jeff garcia?!

12-17-2001, 11:26 AM
Sorry.....my mind is elsewhere...........

Damn i did say Elvis! hahahahahaha.....thats funny.......

12-17-2001, 11:27 AM
Jay went three games without a turnover. Two of those games he led us back in the fourth quarter to victory.

Let me ask you this: What has Ray Lucas shown you this year that makes you think he is any better then Jay? If your going to point to the two passes he has completed, then I will show you Fiedler laying out his body against the Raiders to score the game winning touchdown. Chris Chambers has seven touchdown passes from Jay, they were almost all deep throws with touch.

Jay is a human being, he is not a machine. He has played his guts out, and won us 9 games. Peyton Manning has more interceptions then Jay, and he was the very first pick, in the first round of the draft. Do you think they should pull out Manning because he is not playing well? OR do you realize that it is very hard to play QB in this league when your asked to win the games all by yourself.

Lay off Jay, it's not like we are 3-10 or 4-9, and if the coaches honestly thought that Ray Lucas was the better option do you think they would ignore that?

12-17-2001, 11:29 AM
why throw away a 9-4 season to decide on next year's QB   :fire:

12-17-2001, 11:32 AM
Exactly 39...I feel all alone over here, glad to see soemone else is thinking what I am.

12-17-2001, 11:38 AM
Now lets just sit back a bit and think alittle here......

I love the Fins......for many many years..............

Why waist a 9-4 season??? Why not?? We're not going to the SB this year thats for sure! Not with the team we have this year!

We can bold well with good teams that are playing good but good teams that are playing great we folded so far this year!

This Saturday will tell the tail for our beloved Dolphins!!!!!! Its sink or swim come the 22nd!!

We need to kick some serious ass up in NE in order to put some meaning into this season.........

:)

12-17-2001, 11:39 AM
I was not expecting us to go 13-3 with this team. But at this point, I would be disappointed if we do not go 12-4. Beat the Pats and life is good again. :D

12-17-2001, 11:50 AM
We need to play smart and turnover free ball.........

We need to Rush Brady and rush him hard...........

If we give Brady more than ample time he'll pick us apart and we'll be playing catch up football.......

defense needs to make a statement this coming Saturday too....

We need a Zack attack!!!!

Regroup.......refocus........lets be on the winning side of a shutout this time!!

12-17-2001, 11:51 AM
if the lowly Bills can keep NE out of the endzone, then we sure as hell s/b able to...

12-17-2001, 12:20 PM
We may not win another game...

12-17-2001, 12:27 PM
Talk about being open minded!!!

Gimme a break.........

Dolphins win beat NE and beat em good!

12-17-2001, 12:28 PM
not sure jetssuck, I am already biting my nails over Sat's game, it s/b close.

12-17-2001, 01:59 PM
Sat. game will be close only if our def. dosen't show up. All they need to do is get in Brady's face and he will be rattled. Let's not talk about getting a QB for next season until this one is over. Lucas is not the answer, maybe Cade if he keeps his mind on football. For now lets stick with Jay and just hope he dosen't turn over the ball. Dolfan201 why do you think they won't win another game I think they should win all 3 games and can still have a by week. If they get a bye the 1st round I think it is possible to make it to the super bowl. Only time will tell. As long as we don't have to play the jets we can go far in the playoffs.

12-17-2001, 02:25 PM
What has Ray Lucas shown you this year that makes you think he is any better then Jay?

thats just it, i haven't seen a damn thing. 32 behind or 32 ahead, wannstedt won't put anybody else in!

12-17-2001, 02:36 PM
I have full faith in the Fins coming into NE and beating them.

Forcast for Saturday will be sunny and a cold 30...........

Get in Brady's face......hit him hard a few times and he'll fold.

Thats it....pressure on QB = WIN

12-17-2001, 03:04 PM
score to win the game, and if you watched the San Fran game we don't have the ability to do that. San Fran is the 26th Ranked pass defense and we could not get inside their 40. It will not be easier to throw against Ty Law, Terell Buckley and Lawyer Milloy.

12-17-2001, 04:46 PM
i'm 55 and been a fin fan for 35 years. i've been saying "wait till next year", for so long now, i don't even believe it anymore.do you think i ought to wait until i have to get a super-charged walker so i can celebrate properly, bullsh!t, i wanna win now and if replacing fiedler upon occasion does it, then i'm all for it!
and so what if it creates a controversy, is wannstedt paid to coach or win votes in a popularity contest? shula made some decisions that didn't set well with the team or fans, but he made em, sometimes they worked and sometimes they didn't, but most of the time they did. there was none bigger than when morrall carried the fins to the superbowl then decided to go with griese in the game itself. it worked so everybody forgot it.

most importantly, it seems like you pro-fiedler dudes have more to gain than we do. lucas could do bad or good. if he does bad, we have "i told you so" hanging over our heads. if he does good, then you get to be the benefactor of winning team. you have a win-win situation here. the bottom line is, something is broke and it won't get fixed by waiting to see if the wheels fall off again, FIX IT! at least try!

12-17-2001, 05:01 PM
I've been one to always say NOT to change QB's during the season unless you have a record like Detriot!

But this has gone on far too long let me tell everyone!! We have enough talent (not mentioning the qb) on this team to make and win the Superbowl without a doubt!

We've been either coming from behind on wins, beating so so teams and this year and last when we play above average teams that are playing well we get smoked!

There's got to be that light that pops over DW's head that says....WOW.....we have a problem hear!!!! Ya don't go in and rack up 40 plus points one week and get blanked the next!! Not too mention just NOT showing up!

We need players/LEADERS on this team!! We need a few guys on both sides that are rude......that are heartless! We need not any more finess players........

We need to make changes that will help this team become stronger!! We have no backbone.......we're weak.......we are!

I've never seen this team go up and down in such a manner........never!!!!!

Now i have to listen to Chris Berman and company on ESPN all week on how bad we got beat and so on.........this SUCKS.

But ya know what.......if we can spank NE i'll tone down just a bit.........but if i had to put money down on this game folks.....it would'nt be Miami.......

12-17-2001, 05:18 PM
the lack of coaching on this team, i could just spit! man i could make a whole list of the things that are wrong with this team, but i'm not a typist and my fingers would probably fall off, not to mention me putting my fist through the moniter because i see it in print! lets just say wannstedt and fiedler head the list!:fire: :yell:

12-18-2001, 09:56 AM
First things first.......

DW is the reason why we lost 1 or 2 years more of the Marino era. I was shocked when i found out he was going to be our coach. I never did like JJ either.....so it's been a long time since i think we've had good coaching.

Our style of football is not the style the the Dolphins should play for sure. This boring defensive style play is not working and never will with the style of players we have.

This off season we need to find a real QB if not from the draft, then free agency.....Fiedler has to go.

12-18-2001, 10:04 AM
we have not gone to the Super Bowl since 1984 so obviously the no defense, no running game style did not work. Dan was done - his retirement was needed after he struggled so much with injuries. Seeing him in that Dallas game ddi not convince of that ?

Wanne has done a great job with what was given him by his predecessor - a solid D.

12-18-2001, 10:24 AM
You've gotta be kidding.......

Our Defense is'nt all that let me say..........

Any great offensive style team that has played against us has scored at will! No ifs an's or butts!

We can play good against the fairly good offensive teams and thats that......

Wanny has done well making us a fairly good team........

This team is very far away from being great!

12-18-2001, 10:39 AM
that's been true of Shula's Fins after 1985 and JJ Fins and almost every other team in the NFL...

12-18-2001, 11:54 AM
not to single out one player, but, i don't think i've seen thomas laying on the ground all by himself so much since he came into the league!

12-18-2001, 11:55 AM

12-18-2001, 12:02 PM
but zach missed several tackles where he had the RB for a loss! i don't know if the whole team was tired from the flight accross country or SF was just that good!

12-18-2001, 12:05 PM
I've noticed this alot with that position......over playing........

I think this Saturday around 5 pm we can all sit back........watch the highlights of the Dolphins win and just enjoy the evening!!!
