I hear we find out who Dani's baby's father is.

Give me Aceveda. Why? His name wasn't on the list.

I hear at least 2 characters won't be coming back for the second half of this season when it returns in the fall or winter.

I think Kavanaugh is very likely to be one of the two. I think they want us to think Lem is the other going in. I know there is going to be at least one more red herring (involving Dutch) that I won't get into in case people are spoiler sensitive. My guess (not based on spoiler material, either) is that the other one will be Ronnie. Why Ronnie? He's the one on the Strike Team with the cleanest hands. He's the only one who hasn't gotten owned by somebody for screwing up with drugs or with illegal money. He's the smart guy who makes a lot of crap happen for Vic. Ronnie is the one they get rid of to make it really hurt for Mackey.

Okay, now that you see my theories are crap, here is my new theory for the rest of the run of the show:

Vic finds out what Shane did. The two of them either go down for it together or Vic kills Shane and goes down for it himself. Either way, Ronnie walks.

They end on a dystopian note by showing us that even though Vic is gone, a new type of corruption rules the Barn: under Claudette's nose, Dutch will strike many of the same type of deals and work the place in his own evil way after having mastered the art of manipulation introduced to him this episode by the pimp. It won't be exactly like the Strike Team, but it won't be Dragnet style police work either.

That was an awesome episode i never would have thought that Shane would do that

I think that in the next season before Vic can do it for him shane will kill himself in remorse

going into last nights season finale, i had told a couple people i thought Lem would off himself when everything fell apart. or that in a total swerve, they would turn the season finale into a series finale instead and everything would fall apart for Vic and the boys.

that said... what an unbelievable finale. Shane's body language told me he was going to kill Lem, but i didnt want to believe it... when he said it was "all about family" after telling Lem his wife was pregnant again that sealed it.

for Shane to have to face Lem and look him in the eye during his dying breaths was unreal. and then to handle it the way he did and not tell Vic or Ronnie. Wow...

the only thing i was disappointed in was the fight between Mackie and Kavanaugh. they shouldve let them get some real action in, instead of just rolling around on the ground. the whole season was a buildup to that moment...

best show on TV, bar none...

i see Vic finding out too... but i dont think it blows up between them. the three of them are in too deep together.

Dutch is definitely getting more and more interesting. a couple season ago when he killed that kitten after the serial killer got into his head while interviewing him showed he is capable of anything. i like the direction they are taking him.

i think they find out Acevedo was playing both sides and make his life miserable. the show has never revisited Acevedo's unfortunate incident when he lost control of his gun to those thugs, and the dead thugs girlfriend is still out there with the information. that will come back into play eventually.

was i the only one who is wondering if the son of the CI who ratted out the Strike Team was Vic's kid also after that final confrontation with her??? Shane called him a ****** and she looked at Vic and said, "are you going to let him say those things?" maybe im reading too much into it.

Don't forget the computer full of kiddie porn he "discovered" fairly early on. It's clear Dutch has a very dark place he can go to.

As to the kid of the CI, nah, I don't think it was Vic's. I don't think she came into the picture until after he was born. Remember, we saw Vic first meeting that woman and making her a CI. I think she went there because she knows Vic also has two kids with problems.

thats true... forgot when she came into the picture. i remember the computer and Dutch boy, they have definitely hinted at his dark side for quite awhile. he has always seemed fixated on the really heinous crimes, and wanting to get credit for being the guy to solve them.

That was a very hard episode to watch.

It was tough to see Lem killed by Shane. And, you know that Vic will figure it out next year and have to confront/kill Shane.

Or the show could end with Shane killing Vic and going to jail for it.

I just caught the finale last night.. Man.. I never saw that comming until the two of them met at the garage.. I knew either a) Shane and Lem were going to get pinched right there or b) Shane would off him.. I didn't think "b" until Shane said that it was all about the family..

It was tough to watch because Lem easily turned into one of my favorite characters this season.. I don't know what will happen next, but with Dutchboy investigating Lem's murder it will get very muddy.

I wish at the end that they would have showed Vic giving Cavanaugh a right hook to the jaw because like someone else said in this thread, this whole season was building up to it.
