I JUST CANT STAND IT

people need to grow up and listen that Metallica dosent want to play the same stuff for 25+ years. They EVOLVE with time. the whole Napster thing, which has NOTHING to do with how their music is developed, cause so many to bash, I mean how would u liek it if millions of people just basicly stole from you, dont say well they r alrdy rich, so what, rock stars are only rich while they r working, why do you think the eagles and the rolling stones have 73984739847209 farewell tours?

Agreed. This is why I don't bother to fight people who don't like Metallica. I like Metallica mostly up to the Black Album. I like certain tracks from their later records, but nothing compared to their first 5 albums. Even their Load/Reload Tour pales compared to back then and even now. For some reason, they actually sound better (live) now than they did in their Load/Reload tours. If you don't like Metallica or how they have evolved, that is fine. That is why Music is amazing, many tastes.

The worst song ever is:
Barbie Girl = Aqua

and here are the Lyrics

"Barbie Girl"

Hi Barbie
Hi Ken!
Do you wanna go for a ride?
Sure Ken!
Jump In...

I'm a barbie girl, in the barbie world
Life in plastic, it's fantastic!
you can brush my hair, undress me everywhere
Imagination, life is your creation
Come on Barbie, let's go party!

I'm a barbie girl, in the barbie world
Life in plastic, it's fantastic!
you can brush my hair, undress me everywhere
Imagination, life is your creation

I'm a blond bimbo girl, in the fantasy world
Dress me up, make it tight, I'm your dolly
You're my doll, rock'n'roll, feel the glamour in pink,
kiss me here, touch me there, hanky panky...
You can touch, you can play, if you say: "I'm always yours"

(uu-oooh-u)

I'm a barbie girl, in the barbie world
Life in plastic, it's fantastic!
you can brush my hair, undress me everywhere
Imagination, life is your creation

Come on Barbie, let's go party!
(Ah-ah-ah-yeah)
Come on Barbie, let's go party!
(uu-oooh-u)
Come on Barbie, let's go party!
(Ah-ah-ah-yeah)
Come on Barbie, let's go party!
(uu-oooh-u)

Make me walk, make me talk, do whatever you please
I can act like a star, I can beg on my knees
Come jump in, bimbo friend, let us do it again,
hit the town, fool around, let's go party
You can touch, you can play, if you say: "I'm always yours"
You can touch, you can play, if you say: "I'm always yours"

Come on Barbie, let's go party!
(Ah-ah-ah-yeah)
Come on Barbie, let's go party!
(uu-oooh-u)
Come on Barbie, let's go party!
(Ah-ah-ah-yeah)
Come on Barbie, let's go party!
(uu-oooh-u)

I'm a barbie girl, in the barbie world

Oh, that's right, because making making complex rhyme schemes isn't hard at all or freestyling off the top of your head. Nor is producing, where you have to make beats go with the rapper's voice. Yep, nothing about rap is hard at all, anyone can do it.

Listen to Tonedeff, Murs, Masta Ace, or Joe Budden before you make a judgement on rap. Rap is not all about hoes, jewelry, and cars. And don't quote a crappy movie where Jack Nicholson hooks up with the daughter and then goes for her mother.

Production is a talent. I worked in audio and visual at the Grand Casino setting up the stages sound. I loved it, until that b*tch Katrina came along.

You're not getting to the question, though. I don't think anyone denies that it's a talent. The question is if it's a musical talent. In a way, it's sort of like the question about whether a race car driver is an athlete.

You definately have to be able to hear the music in your head that you are trying to lay down. Also, their is the aspects of knowing all of the electronics, acoustics in a studio, etc... I dreamed of being an acoustical engineer, but I couldn't attend the school I needed.

You're not getting to the question, though. I don't think anyone denies that it's a talent. The question is if it's a musical talent. In a way, it's sort of like the question about whether a race car driver is an athlete.

Think of it, a lot of times producers actually create music a good way to see that is when you hear the Let it Be Naked album, without the arrangements that Spector did and (although In my humble opinion both suck) it just sucks horribly. That is why people work with producers, because it is not about just raising the volume or lowering it, but about actually making the music. (That is why you would rather have Brian Eno producing than a lot of other people).

ALso if you consider being a drummer being a musician, then I guess you can consider making a beat being a part of a musical creation, therefore a musician.

And to answer the original question... The Ketchup Song... or the Macarena... those two have haunted me.. htey are just that bad (I love the Ballad of Bilbo Baggins, I think it epitomizes everythign that is geeky about the world and should be beloved because of that)

Oh man, I would rather sit in the corner and poke myself in the eye with a fork than listen to that song.

Just not a rap guy bud.
Nothing personal.
Nobody sings or plays an instrument.
I find it too militant and.... well I'll just use a quote from the movie "Something's Gotta Give"

"Some people consider rap poetry."
"C'mon, how many words can you rhyme with bich?"
 I heard that

Damn those Black Eyed Peas. Their songs are terrible, yet so catchy.

Nothing worse than having that song stuck in your head.
