He'll probably be a dime corner for them. Plus he already knows the system. Good luck with that.

Makes sense since he wasn't that bad there.

PhinKev
03-28-2006, 06:55 PM
He wasn't that bad here. An average CB, probably a 3rd corner for most teams. Not bad for a one year minimum which I bet it was.

Am i the only one here who sees this might actually be an OK signing? Why do you guys think we gave him such a heavy contract? He played very well and was a starting corner over their on a defence that carried the team to the SB. I have no idea what happened when he came to Miami, but maybe he can revive his career back where he started off right.

They should pay the guy in Monopoly money. What a fraud, what a supreme, total piece of garbage. THIS GUY COST US GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every team we played managed to find where he was lining up and picked on this weak link without mercy. There's no place to hide this guy on a football field. He's the worst DB the Fins ever had, bar none! He makes Jamar Fletcher look like Ronnie Lott.

In terms of worst DBs for a single season, Howard probably gets my vote too. If he had played more than one season here, then he`d be neck and neck with Paul Lankford for worst ever Dolphin DB.

I think he is an average talent, but I largely agree.

Yeah, now we'll have Will Allen to blame, i mean if any body watched any Giants games last year. I think we were better off with SM myself.

I was at a Panthers furum earlier to check out what their reaction was and most of them were happy since he will "only" be a nickle or dime corner and possibly a speciel teams guy. I could see him as a special teamer but I would shuder at the thought of ever asking him to cover a receiver in any formation at all.

i hope he goes to the pro bowl...then maybe we can get a comp pick for losing him..haha

03-29-2006, 04:35 AM
We won't get a comp pick because we cut him. I don't know why people are so mad at Reggie Howard because we paid him way too much based on nothing. Just be glad those people are not handling our free agency anymore.

That toast ain't burnt enough to be Howard. May I suggest putting it under the broiler for about five minutes.

Put a #25 jersey on this- http://www.finheaven.com/images/imported/2006/03/04081201-1.jpg

He just didn't fit with the system here in Miami and was quite confused most of the time. Maybe in Carolina he will have a better understanding of the defensive scheme especially since he once played there.

Good luck to him.

"It's good to have him back," Hurney said. "We didn't want to lose him in the first place. He's our kind of person our and our type of player."

Your type of player???? if your type of player is the one that gets burned by 4th string WR's thengood luck to you then....

thank god we dont have to worry about him anymore
