I'm not sure if I like this. It seems like someone making money off a tragedy to me. What do you guys think?

I had this confused with "Flight 93" which aired on A&E and was actually pretty good. This one is "United 93."

The only way I like this is if the company that produces it makes ZERO money off it, or if they donate ALL the money to a 9/11 fund. IMO it is ridiculous that somoene would want to make money off the tradgey and suffering of others.

It was bound to happen eventually. Yes, people will make money, but people will get paid to build memorials and rebuild the WTC as well. As long as they are done right, movies are another form of memorial for a lot of us I think. I know they are for me. I may never get the opportunity to go to Pennsylvania to see the actual memorial that will eventually be built, so this may be the only form I really have.

Also, Oliver Stone is currently making a movie on the World Trade Center as well. Don't know if I like this because Stone can be hit and miss-by-a-long-shot. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0469641/?fr=c2l0ZT1kZnx0dD0xfGZiPXV8cG49MHxrdz0xfHE9T2xpdmVyIFN0b25lfGZ0PTF8bXg9MjB8bG09NTAwfGNvPTF8aHRtbD0xfG5tPTE_;fc=3;ft=22;fm=1

Is this where that guy storms the cabin to try and take down the terrorists on 9-11? I think they should let it rest for the families of those who died.
:rolleyes2

thats what it seemed like to me when Michael Moore made money off his Fareinheit 911 garbage. i didnt hear people complaining then though.

i heard the sister of the pilot of flight 93 on the radio yesterday and the according to her the families support this project. we need to be reminded daily of those heroes who fought to take back that plane.

makes no sense to me. theyve already made a movie about flight 93.. why make another one if not for the monetary gain? we all know what happens...

There is another 9-11 movie coming out. Nicholas Cage is starring in it. I think it is coming out this year too. It looked good from what I heard. This is tragic and it is very sad, but movies can be a good way of being a memorial like someone else said. I for one, really liked the Pearl Harbor and Titantic movies.

United 93 looks like a dud. I cant see why would it be interesting to watch the dramatization of it. The World Trade Center movie has a good premise, but I don't trust Oliver Stone to not throw in some political rhetoric from left field. He'll probably accuse LBJ as the mastermind of the attacks. The upcoming movie about John O'Neill is one I really would like to see though.

This is not about making money! I just saw a report on TV the other day about this movie. The relatives of the people that overtook the terroists are the ones that pushed to have this made, they want to tell their story. Its a tribute thing. I saw a preview of this in the theaters, gave me the chills.
