I am hearing that it is pretty much a done deal with the Giants...

Remember the Potson's screwed up Lavar's last contract with the Redskins by not reading the Redskins contract that they had Lavar sign. The Redskins agreed to an extra $6 million in bonus's to Lavar but left it out of the contract. Because of all this, I've been told review after painstaking review is being done to the contract to make sure everything is covered... which is why it hasnt become official yet...

I wouldnt bet my house on this source... but he/she has been pretty reliable...

Personally, I would rather let someone else overpay for him anyway... and draft either Greenway or Lawson...

I'd be fine with Lavar going elsewhere. Just go with the cheaper alternative and draft Manny Lawson. Lavar is too pricey for us anyways.

Arrington Continues To Talk With Giants

Wednesday, April 5, 2006; Page E02
Former Washington Redskins linebacker LaVar Arrington continued to negotiate with the New York Giants yesterday, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
Arrington, who negotiated his release from the club before the start of free agency last month, has stated his desire to remain in the NFC East, and he is the highest-profile free agent remaining on the market. Jacksonville, Miami and Cincinnati have made efforts to sign him as well.
