If we're talking post-Marino I have to say Fiedler. A few of the guys on the list had a better arm than he did, but Griese (while he was with Miami) sucked, only to regain his game when he went back to Tampa. Lucas....next.

AJ Feeley...next.

All I gotta say is Jay wins it in that Broncos game in 2002. Broken thumb, winning drive. amazing.

the only thing feeley has done impressive is the pats game...what a game:dolphins:

Ray Lucas, no question about it. He was one of a kind, we will probably never see his like again.

damm it's so difficult pick the best of the worst

Griese was good against SD, and with a really bad o-line the next games, so bad for him and for us

Lucas, he just sucks every game, maybe the game @ NYJ (we deserve to win that damm game)

Huard just I don't know

AJ no was to bad in 2004, NE game was amazing, but he sucks in 2005

Fiedler, he's a bad QB but was the best of this list, he played more and show some thing on the gridiron, but sucks too

since Marino damm it's tough, and Culppeper, he can't be worse

The best in Miami's history is obviously Dan. But with the choices you have given then I would have to say Fiedler. Feeley was a wuss when he didnt play with a "glutial contusion" when other people are plaing with cracked ribs and other broken bones. Lucas just couldnt get it done when he started. Griese unlike his father, didnt play well for Miami at all and I would have Damon Huard ranked second behind Fiedler.

It amazed me that year that as soon as Griese struggled, everybody blamed the offensive line....namely, the same offensive line that Jay Fiedler played behind.

Obviously the two best in Dolphins history are Marino and Griese. But as far as the QB's on the list it was Fiedler absolutely no doubt. Fiedler was never the most atheletically gifted QB and he made some pretty ****ty plays but I'll never tell you that he didn't do everything he possibly could while he was our QB. And actually if you look at his record as our starter, he had one of the best active records of any QB playing during that time. Yes, that had a lot to do with our defense and with Ricky and various other factors but you can't take away the fact that when he played we typically had some success. And don't forget about the afforementioned drive in which he beat the Broncos with a broken thumb or the games against the Raiders where he dove about five yards and put the ball over the goal line for the win. Fiedler gets a really bad wrap for having done a fairly decent job as Marino's replacement. He was never the most gifted QB and maybe we'd have won more games with a better man under center, but we didn't have one, and he did help us win quite a few games.

As far as the other QB's on the list, Griese never really had time to settle and become the starter so I couldn't pick him, Feeley is a joke, Huard was a good back-up but he never started (with the exception of a few games during Marino's last year) and Ray Lucas? That guy just plain blew.

DolfanISS

Really, anyone who doesn't pick Fiedler loses credibility. Jay is average at best, which is more than you can say for that list of scrubs. Always remember Feeley in the Pats game though.

Actually after the 2003 season, the whole O-line was cut. I believe that in 2004, the O-line was 5 new guys.

No way you can put Griese above Fiedler...regardless of what he's done in Tampa afterwards. Instead of blaming the line or "bad dreams" or whatever on Griese's performance, I blame Griese for his performance that year. He had a chance to win the job permanently. Fiedler could have started that Redskins game, and didn't...and Griese played miserably.

I agree 100%. If defensive players blew on Griese, he fumbled the ball. He was pitiful in most of the games he played for us including that Skins game where Jay bailed him out. Anyone who chooses Griese over Jay, for what they accomplished in Miami, is caught up in the name.

I say if it was talent wise griese had the skills. Proven by being a pro bowl Qb. And he was never really given a fair shot thanks to our great ex coach Wannsmuck.

Although Huard did a pretty good job of winning some big games when Dan had gotten hurt and should have had the job of his replacement. Had Wanny not had this love affair thing with Jay. Damon never really had a chance once Wanny took over. That is who i would vote for.

Fiedler sucked the only reason he had been starting so long was because Wanny was afraid he would look bad if he switched after naming jay starting Qb. Jay showed some toughness but that was it . if anything he was above Lucas .

That's a pile of crap. Fiedler probably could have suited up and played earlier than he did in 2003 after he got hurt. Speculation was that Wanny was holding out because Griese showed upside. Why else do you think Fiedler came in at the END of the Redskins game? Griese was stinking it up and Fiedler came in and looked damn healthy, and won his job back.

Enough excuses for Griese. He's had some good years in Tampa since but his bad play was nobody's fault but his own. Going to blame the offensive line? Fine...but then how come nobody mentions Fiedler played behind the same offensive line?

Griese sucked in '03 and deserved the bench.
