Someone in the "South Park Rips Family Guy" thread suggested we have an official Family Guy thread, so here it is. There are new episodes on the way (starting this Sunday I believe) so we can discuss them, and ALL things Family Guy, here.

"im mean look, in my high school year book i was voted most likely to succeed!"

"peter, that isnt even a year book, and thats not you"

can anyone find the video of gumble 2 gumble when they are interrogating that guy?

Or the clip from the FCC episode (not the FCC song that JT posted) where they start censorign real life and they are at the kitchen table and the guy has the airhorn so Peter starts talking about the BJ Louis gives but he's naming all the weird stuff she does, combined with tht eairhorn that is SUCH a funny part :sidelol: . Also, the part where they can't make noise during sex so they are just laying there and louis is like "well this isn' very enjoyable (or whatever she says)" and Peter goes "I'm done, goodnite Louis"

I also love when people fall on that show, they fall in the funniest way EVER. Like the old lady in the grocery store that slips on Brian's pee, or the time Peter has the butter rum ice cream and passes out through the table, or, one of my personal favorites, when Peter is going to sit down and he forgets how to sit, so he just falls face-first into the chair which breaks it, lollol.

Has anyone TRIED ipecac? It SUCKS :sidelol:.

For anyone who DOESN'T know what this stuff is (and hasn't seen that Family Guy episode) it's basically a drink that you drink (lol, duh) and it makes you vomit, a LOT.

my favorite was from He's Too Sexy for His Fat - it was very subtle and peter said just one word - it was the one where he got plastic surgery and became a member of the beautiful peoples club - after all the chaos he caused, lois asked him if he learned his lesson at the end of the show and peter looks off and says... nope :chuckle:

Peter: Wow, when you're beautiful doors magically open for you!
Beautiful People's Club Man: Actually, it opened because you stepped on that black square.
...of course if that's wasn't there, it would have opened anyway because you're beautiful.

Oh man, the cookie monster in rehab episode was great. Cookie Monetser in the bathroom stall cooking up the cookie dough on the spoon is one of my top 5 favorite scenes.

How about the "greased up deaf guy"

Or the time "Asian Reporter Tisha Takinowa" is reporting on the hurricane and gets taken out by the flying car

Or the episode on licking toad

Or the episode where Louis discovers she has a brother and he is in a mental institution and she goes and gets him and he has the imaginary wife and Stewie and Brian are sitting on the couch with the imaginary wife in between 'em and stweie goes "hey, hey Brian, (insert her name here, cuz I forgot it) says you're a homosexual" and then they go on like that and then Stewie goes and gets a cucumber and goes "we should, you know, put this right here like this and see if it turns into a pickle" and then they leave and later on Louis fnds a pickle on the couch

Another one of my to 5 scenes is when Mayor Adam West (who ALWAYS has great lines) is on Jeopardy and for the answer to the FInal Jeopardy question he writes "kebert xela" and the Alex Trebek reads it and goes "oh crap" and he disappears and Mayor West goes "the only way to send him back to his planet is to get him to say his own name backwards" :sidelol: :sidelol:

Eh, maybe we have different humor styles or something. I'm not saying it was a bad episode, lol, I don't think they can MAKE a bad episode, I'm just saying it was WAY down my list. I think they spent ENTIRELY too much time on Peter and Louis' "creative inspiration" scenes, and since my younger brother is a huge pothead and it annoys the hell out of me the whole scene was just really annoying.

WOW, this thread went way back huh? New episode tonight. It was OK, way better than last week, but not up towards the top IMO. Loved the Kool Aid guy though, lol, everytime I see him I think of Dane Cook's Kool Aid guy skit

How is it the funniest scene ever if you never got to see it

Just messin with ya man, umm, I forgot which episode it's actually from, but if you go to www.spikedhumor.com (http://www.spikedhumor.com) they have TONS of FG clips, they even post entire episodes, same with South Park (HOW is that legal?) so you might be able to find it there

And the he just kinda dives (in that super quick way that people fall, which is one of the funniest parts of the show) into the chair, shattering it and contorting into a weird angle

OK, I watched it, and I am relieved. It was ACTUALLY FUNNY, lol. The past two weeks (or past two new episodes anyway) were pretty crappy and I was starting to worry, but this one was a good one, I was cracking up a bunch.

It's gotten very tiring for me too. That's where it loses out to the Simpsons. Simpsons comedy may not have those pockets of hilarity, but it holds up over time. Family Guy has gotten OLD quickly.

I was wondering where this thread went, lol.

The two new ones have been great so far. Did anyone else find it HILARIOUS that, afetr all of the talk of Family Guy copying the Simpsons, it seemed like the Simpsons episode that aired this past Sunday was almost the exact same thing as the Family Guy episode that aired 2 weeks ago? They both had the Army recruiters making the Army seem like a rockstar life, they both had someone go to the recruiters office to yell at the recruiter for tricking a family member into signing up, only to get tricked into signing up themselves, and they both had the same basic training premise. It made me wonder if someone quit the Simpsons and joined Family Guy and warned them about that upcoming plot just so Family Guy could do it and put it out first to make the Simpsons look dumb, or if it really was just some freak coincidence.

Anyway, it seems as though the Simpsons are dead, and I hate to say that because I've watched since I was really little, but the Treehouse of Horror was wretched this year, and the Army episode was pretty dumb too, I just don't find myself laugghing at it anymore, and I haven't in a LONG time, I just watch because it's habbit, I've been watching for like a friggin decade+, lol

Family Guy just seems to keep getting better though, and I love it. American dad is pretty funny too. Anyonme else notice that it seems like American Dad is very pro-republican and Family Guy is very anti-Bush? It's funny since the same guy makes em.
