Hey everyone. I'm one of the graphics designers for my high school paper and there's a major competition coming up, I have to design an advertisement for a state college, I chose the university of florida but as of right now only have a crude idea of what I want to do with it.
Basically I want to show different professions and I want to put that basketball player (can't remember his name) because the national chamionship win is so recent. Let me know which of the two you like best, like I said this is far from done so any ideas, critiques, suggestions are appreciated as it can help my final outcome.
Version 1, note the fourth "professional" on the left hand side.

Version 2, I took out the left guy to make it look less busy. I'm also not sure about having two Asian people on it since diversity is always a major point in advertising.

The belltower is a landmark at UF and one of the things they're not known for, do you guys think I should have a different background altogether? Please let me know, any feedback is appreciated.

I think you could use an horizontal picture for the background, not vertical, this way it won't look so busy and it will give you more space.

You should also try not to charge it only in one side, distribute the pictures in a balanced form, in opposite sides, like left and right, or top right and bottom left.
