Lee Paige who is featured in the video shooting himself in the thigh (http://drunkenpuppies.com/2006/04/13/dea-cop-accidently-shoots-himself-no-serious-injury-except-to-his-pride/) is now suing the DEA over the release of the video.

The tape was recorded during a gun safety demonstration in which Agent Paige proclaimed that he was the only one in the room who was professional enough to handle the Glock pistol before proceeding to shoot himself in the leg.

Mr Paige, who appeared on The Today Show, is asking for unspecified monetary damages over the release of the video. Mr Page alleges (http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/0411061foot1.html) that the video, filmed over two years ago, now makes it impossible for the agent to perform his job.

The DEA suspended Agent Paige for 5 days over the accidental discharge.
Mr Paige, I have news for you…had you not shot yourself in the leg, the tape would never have been an issue. You are damned lucky you didn’t accidently kill a kid in that classroom.

It also amazes me that your response to the embarassement of having the video released on the internet was to appear on the Today Show where millions more people got a chance to watch you shoot yourself. What next? A made for TV movie?
