Here's my latest Dolphins Mock Volume 4.0

RD 1 (Pick 16) Santonio Holmes | Wide Receiver | Junior | Ohio St.

Holmes is a threat to score every time he touches the ball. He has the quickness, acceleration, and long range speed to be a big time threat with the ball in his hands. He can take the quick screen and make a big play, or beat corners down the field vertically. He is tough and will not back down from anyone. Holmes also brings value as a kick and punt returner. Santonio may be the best wide receiver in the 2006 draft. He is a major playmaker and should make his share of big plays at the next level, as both a receiver and return man.

RD 3 (Pick 82) Bernard Pollard | Safety | Junior | Purdue

Big, strong, hard hitting junior safety that is best in run support. He will come up in a hurry and plug those holes in run support. He is also a former receiver so he understands the passing game and is athletic enough to provide outstanding coverage and range. Pollard’s strength is clearly attacking the line of scrimmage. With his size and strength, he can play like an extra linebacker in the running game. He can weed through traffic and lay a lick on the ball carrier. He breaks down well and space and can tackle in the open field. Pollard also has the pure athleticism to play in coverage and he has improved every year on his cover skills. He is also a standout special teamer.

RD 4 (Pick 114) Stanley McClover | Defensive End/Linebacker | Junior | Auburn

McClover is an undersized DE who possesses tremendous quickness and speed and can wreak havoc as an edge rusher. He also plays with good strength and leverage (it helps that he is 6' 2" and is generally going up against 6' 6"+ offensive tackles who he gets under easily). He also is a sure tackler and can really stop the run. He plays with a lot of emotion and has a great motor. His combination of athleticism, quickness, and closing speed make him a major force as a playmaker on the outside. With his obvious physical talent, McClover brings the versatility of playing with his hand down in the 4-3 or in space in the 3-4 defense. McClover has big time pass rush ability and potential. You don't put up the numbers he did in the SEC without being a big time talent.

RD 7 (Pick 212) Chris Kuper | Offensive Guard | Senior | North Dakota

Chris Kuper is a great straight ahead drive blocker and decent trap and pull guy. Plays smart and plays to the whistle. Has good size and the frame to get bigger. Solid athlete with good mobility. Has excellent feet. Will get to the second level. Explosive off the snap and powerful at the point of attack. Plays with a nasty demeanor. Has a lot of experience.

RD 7 (Pick 226) Ronnie Prude | Cornerback | Senior | L.S.U.

Has excellent size. Very smooth and athletic. Physical and isn't afraid to tackle or support the run. Has a ton of experience against top competition. Had his best year as a senior. Still has some upside and hasn't yet lived up to his potential. Might need to be in the right scheme.

RD 7 (Pick 233) Fred Evans | Defensive Tackle | Senior | Texas State

Fred Evans has great upside, he is like a poor man's Marcus Spears or Trevor Pryce. He's big and strong, a true star at his level. His size and feet could have a coach staff thinking left offensive tackle, but beyond the fact that Evans moves incredibly well, has nice hip-flexibility and good speed the D Line marked a better fit for his temperament also he has the frame of a big man but moves pretty well in space, a combination that should allow him play at the next level. One of the things that changed since Evans was younger is he no longer skates by on pure ability and he doesn't approach practice or games with the mindset of someone who is going to just rely on his athletic ability to be successful he now approaches every day with the idea of what can he do to become better and is working hard to improve his technique.

I also think it's very possible that you switch them and we get McClover in the 3rd and Pollard in the 4th, their stocks are all over the place. This draft is so deep, it will be amazing watching some good players drop.

Not real sure what he meant by that. 37th pick or 3rd rounder.

Broncos control the 37th pick after the trade with san fran and a rumor is going around saying we are looking to trade our second for ricky, and of course the optimism of the dolfan above imediatly thought that it would be our 2nd(A) pick we would trade for ricky, even though we wouldnt give you a second to begin with for Ricky.

I'm guessing he wants us to deal Ricky to Denver for their 37th Overall pick in the 2nd round.

Really? Your people gonna leak another failed drug test story to try and bring down his value some more?

With or without the failed drug test leak, he still did fail it when they tested him, plus he wasnt worth a second before this whole fiasco.....3rd sure. No second, maybe before his whole up in smoke trip he was worth a second, possible a first, but that was before. Plus he aint getting any younger.

Yup McClover/Rocky McIntosh in the 3rd and a safety in the 4th.

All hearsay, we don't know what really happened. His value is all a matter of opinion. You don't get that level of talent for that price very often.

I wouldn't mind McIntosh either

Hopefully Kuper is there..

I really like Kuper and Evans in the 7th, Prude gets drafted since Saban is familiar with him

let's just see what happens....but if RW is cleared he would be very attractive to the Broncos and a 2nd is not a bad trade for either team.....

after thinking about it though i want to keep ricky

This is one of the best mocks I've seen and not out of the realm of possibility either. Good work.
