well u can forget any CB, S, OLB, DT, RB, WR, QB, FB, T. in the third we will either take a Center, Guard, or MLB. now this years draft really doesnt have anyone top notch for MLB. but id love to get a Center in the 3rd round. Greg Eslinger, or Ryan Cook (6'7, 320)....Saban kinda guy.

but, i heard Mike Degory was slipping to the 7th round. if we can get him in the 7th, thats a steal.

Is Hester projected as WR or CB in this draft? I keep seeing different reports.

And yes, Jason Avant, WR from Michigan would be a good one too. I though of adding him after I had already submitted, and I was too lazy to edit the post, lol.

Avant ran a very slow 4.8 40 at Michigan's pro day, so I doubt he gets picked until 6-7 round if at all.

If the Dolphins are looking at DTs, then I think three guys....all SEC players (I know, you guys are probably tired of that)....Kyle Wright, LSU...Claude Wroten, LSU...Jesse Mahelona, Tenn

That is, if they're still available, and I'm sure at least one will be.

he'd be quite a steal in the 4th.

Pot and character issues made Anttaj Hawthorne slide to the 6th last year. Claude probably won't fall as far but 3rd/4th is quite possible. The only reason he won't slide as far is Claude is a penetrating DT which is harder to find then a wide load like Anttaj.

For what it's worth, in Mel Kiper's draft report, he has us taking Haralson.

shouldnt we try to find someone who can backup Zach??? we dont have any MLB backing up Zach...we use Crowder to back him up. but Crowder is an OLB, we may wanna look at top MLBs in this draft.

altho if we had a 3-4, it would look like so: Spragan, Crowder, Thomas, Hodge.

hmm.....Wroten or Watson would probably be the best 3rd round choice for us. possibly that Dvorak guy in the 4th...or eslinger.

I would be shocked if we take any OL. That is just my opinion, but I believe the only pick in the 3rd round and 4th rd that will be offense is a WR. Otherwise, I think the pick will be OLB or NT. Forget about secondary. I think we are finished there. My prediction is that Anderson from Alabama and the kid from Tenn are possibilities, but there are some sleepers in the OLB situation. Hodges from Iowa is a possibility at ILB. I also like the Cal Poly pass rusher that has been mentioned a lot. If I had to guess I would think this lists involves possible picks:

Anderson De Alabama
Terna Nande LB Miami Ohio
Adul Hodge LB Iowa
Baba Oshinowo NT Stanford
Claude Wroten DT LSU
Orien Harris DT Miami
Parys Haralson DE Tenn
Gabe Watson NT Mich

From this list of defensive players Watson and Wroten would have to fall from where they are projected. Might happen.

Offensive picks:
Greg Jennings WR Western Mich
Martin Nance WR Miami Ohio

I don't think there are many others there in the 3rd I like. I will investigate more.

Lee2000 ps. Some of you said Davin Joseph was at best a 2nd round pick. Well Tampa Bay thought otherwise

Hello! :lol:I wasn't implying that Jackson/Holmes were going to slip to the 3rd round. Them slipping will cause a domino effect and the entire WR draft class will slide, creating steals at the WR position throughout the draft. Didn't think I had to spell it out though.

With us playing more 3-4, Crowder plays inside with Zach. And Derrick Pope is their primary backup, and he's done a decent job. We have a huge need for an OLB, where Spragan and Hodge are nothing special.

Although based on my sig the best I could do is 3 out of 4 I'll take it.

I also wouldn't mind B. Marshall or any of these DEs/OLBs M. Anderson, S. McClover, C. Gocong & P. Haralson.

I kind of thought Hagan was now thought of as a 3rd rounder. It wouldn't be a big steal to get him with our pick IMO.

He has pretty bad hands from what I've watched of him, I'd rather have Demetrius Williams personally.

He seemed to drop everything during practice at the Senior Bowl, and didn't do very much during the actual game to help himself. During his college career though, he showed very good hands and route running ability. His draft stock started to fall after the Senior Bowl and has been on a steady decline ever since. The most recent events are what sticks out in most peoples minds. He would be a steal in the middle of round 3.

http://www.nfl.com/draft/drafttracker/position/WR

Click the link above and look at the WRs available.

I like a lot of the guys you mention, but it seems many have mental lapses or bad initial bursts coming off the line. Devin Aromashadu seems to be a guy who doesn't have those shortcomings but has some route running problems. So I ask you, which is worse? Is one more correctable than the other? Seems that a burst off the line can't be taught. Getting jammed or running a better route could be corrected though. So if it comes to a WR, I'd prefer Aromashadu. Plus Saban knows him from Auburn. :D
