Darnell Bing at Safety and Omar Jacobs at QB:dolphins:

How can they help? We don't need immediate help at either of those positions.
Do you honestly believe that Jacobs could come right in and begin the season as the starting QB? Do think he's more ready than Cleo Lemon?

We need depth at DT (Gabe Watson) or OLB.

as of right now, we DONT need a Safety....but Omar Jacobs is NOT the best available QB....DJ Shockley is the highest rated QB left at this moment

The Dolphins could use another young safety to pair with Allen. If they did draft Bing they would be set at safety for years to come.

I would be willing to trade our #3 in next years draft to move up and take a player like Gabe Watson...

The question was who is left that can help, not who can start. No I don't think they can Imeediaely help, but they are good insurance. We need more depth at QB because last I checked Harington wasn't on our roster so we can't count on him. Shockley is not that great. I live in GA and see all Bulldog games and he doen't metally have what it takes to lead an NFL squad. He was second to David Greene and where's he, riding the bench in Seattle behind Sennica Wallace. I'm not saying Jacobs is the answer, but we could do a lot worse. As for our secondary, you take quality when you can get it and replace our aging Defense. Last year was the last time our offense ranked higer than our defense. We' re getting old and need to start replacing when and where we can.:dolphins:

I say take Bing and try him at OLB. I read that a lot of teams were considering this as he sucks in coverage but is one of the best tackling safeties in the draft. Are there any linebackers left who are good enough to compete for a starting job?

Gabe Watson is clearly the best player left. May be the best DT in the draft. We won't get him unless we trade up (which we should do), but there are a gold mine of solid DT's left and I suspect we'll wait until the 7th and see what falls: K. Williams, Lewis, Harris,Mahelona, Wright, Babatunde (and the list goes on). I like Fifitta as a DT in the 7th. We are NOT going to draft another safety or corner as we have an abundance at that position now that we added Allen. Jean-Gilles would be a phenomenal pick but he will be gone. We still need an OLB/DE hybrid type and I believe he's there. Stanley McClover from Auburn. He's from the SEC so he meets the requirement. Many people projected him early second round. He dominated the second best tackle in college football (Joe something or other all-american from Wisconsin) and is a very good pass rusher. He needs some work stopping the run, but he could be our guy. Other possibilities guard (Matua, Sims, Boothe) Center (Eslinger) or another hybrid Haralson or Anderson (both SEC). If we go LB Havner, Hoyte or my sleeper Jamar Williams.

Bing is very overrated IMO. His coverage skills are horrible. Watching him play it seems like all he's worried about is making a huge hit and takes unnecessary risks to do so.

I definitely see us going front 7 next. DT like Watson,Wright, or Oshinowo. LB like Havner or Parham.

Out of their list I like for us:
1. Gabe Watson, DT, Michigan
4. Jonathan Scott, OT, Texas
5. Max Jean-Gilles, OG, Georgia
10. Mark Anderson, DE, Alabama*
15. DeMario Minter, CB, Georgia
18. Omar Jacobs, QB, Bowling Green
19. Stanley McClover, DE, Auburn*

* - really like!

If you count Kevin Carter as a DT, there are only 2 DTs signed past 2006. If Vickerson works out, that makes 3 because we should have exclusive rights to him.

I think it's important that Miami grab a DT in the 4th if possible.
