Joe ToledoHeight: 6-5 1/2 | Weight: 337 | 40-Time: 5.11 http://www.finheaven.com/clear.gif
Official Bio (http://gohuskies.collegesports.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/toledo_joe00.html)

http://www.finheaven.com/clear.gif Strengths:
Has good size and a big frame...Has a huge upside...An outstanding athlete with exceptional quickness...Has extremely nimble feet and very quick hands...Can play in space and get to the second level...Versatile and can play multiple positions.

Weaknesses:
Has only one year of experience at the position...Still very raw and needs a lot of work, especially in the technique department...There might be some durability concerns...Needs to continue to bulk up and get stronger...A boom or bust type.

Notes:
Played tight end his first four years at Washington...Just moved to the offensive line in 2005 when he took over for Khalif Barnes and showed a lot of promise and potential...Strictly a long-term developmental guy but he certainly has the tools.

Sounds like a good developmental OL

Pros: Toledo is a well-built athlete with a strong physique, good foot quickness and agility. His overall athleticism should allow him to project to any position along the line, with tackle his best position. He converted to tackle after playing tight end previously. He has fine weight room strength and the physical qualities to look the part of a left tackle prospect. He can get to the second level with the speed to block effectively in space and strike the linebacker.
Cons: He continued to have durability problems and missed a fair amount of playing time over his final season. As a tight end prior to 2005, he did not show great power as a run blocker. He has had some prior back problems with a bulging disc, in addition to some foot injuries. Whether he has the quickness off the snap that is necessary to play left tackle in the NFL remains to be seen. He is still a developmental prospect along the line. Despite his functional strength, his lack of power as a drive blocker and overall inexperience indicate he needs more time in the technique.
Numbers:: At the Combine he ran the 40-yard dash in 5.17 seconds and did 32 reps of the 225-pound bench press. He has squatted more than 800 pounds.
Skinny: Similar to tackles Chad Clifton and Jason Fabini. He is a raw athlete that is a project initially and must develop as a run blocker. Where he plays will be determined in camp, with a possible move to right tackle or guard. Probable NFL starter with development and a good middle round gamble.

I don't get this pick since we got Shelton and Carey and Big Mack back and with some of the guys that were left on the board......I'd have to say that this is the first time that I've been upset at a pick by Saban......not gonna question him as Toledo has talent but I was hoping for DT or OLB...even QB but not this guy....even Scott but I guess time will tell.

Ozzy rules!!

"2005 SEASON
Super Sleeper Team selection and listed as the most underrated offensive tackle prospect in the country by The NFL Draft Report…Started all six games he played in after switching to the offensive line, lining up at left tackle vs. Air Force, Arizona and Washington State and at right
tackle vs. Southern California, Arizona State and Oregon State…Graded 83.6% for blocking consistency, as he produced 37 key blocks/knockdowns with six resulting in touchdowns…Allowed only one quarterback sack, as the offense averaged 358.0 yards per game."

My bad! Maybe this was a good pick after all. See...I'm not a knee-jerking naysayer. I'm open minded...
