if nobody has chosen the QBs yet.....they wont for awhile. nobody seems to NEED a qb

We don't have the fire power to get into the 5th round. Why spend multiple picks for a rookie QB, when we can probably have Joey for just one pick?

We'd be hard pressed to find anyone to take 7th rounders, they're almost junk, that's why we ended up with 3 of them. But I do agree we need to nab Omar. I was hoping we would in the 4th but I'll follow Saban til the end!:dolphins:

i think that the whole deal with harrington is just the lions trying to force us to move quickly but who knows he may be gone i'd rather take my chance with jacobs and have him learn from culpepper

Do you really believe Omar jacobs will come in and be ready to start beginning of this year? You've got to be kidding me.

i think we should take a risk a get marcus vick with one of our 7th round picks...i think hes a great player but just too many off the field problems but for a 7th round pick which are normaly turned out to be nothing special i think we can find something in marcus if he stays out of trouble

No but who are you gonna get if we don't get Joey? Besides the kid can learn from Daunte for several years, so we're not in the mess we've been in since the Marino days.

I knew someone was gonna bring up Vick.I hope no one drafts that punk

Our 3 7th round picks havea draft board value of less than 15 points. Even the top of the 7th round is over 30. So unless we trade future picks, we can't do it.

Yeah, Marcus Vick "staying out of trouble" in Miami - that possibility is nil.

It won't be cheap and he probably can't start in September but, "Cleo"??? Come on !!:rolleyes2

Vick is a timebomb waiting to go off! His own brother's team here in Atlanta won't touch him. If he can get in trouble in freakin Virginia what do you think would happen in South Beach! No thanks.

Omar Jacobs makes no sense...we need a backup...Cleo Lemon atleast knows the playbook and is just as proven which is none. You want someone with expierence as a backup. I'd rather save the draft picks.

I would like to have Jacobs but if Daunte isn't healthy we still need a veteran backup. So we need Joey right now.

having 3 7th rounders might be a blessing. 5th and 6th ronnders who don't make the 53 man cut are often picked up by other teams. 7th rounders are easier to hide on your practice team

With this Harrington business, we should at least consider using one of our 7ths on a QB. There are 60 picks right now before we draft again, and while that sounds like a lot there are still a lot of good QBs left.
I would love if we got some insurance with a guy like Omar Jacobs, McNeal, Pinegar, and even Marcus Vick. I think with a QB coming back from a major injury, 4 qbs on the roster isnt out of the question.

no. Miami is still the likely destination for Harrington because, unless there's concealed news, which seems unlikely, Miami is the only team who actually had an agreed to contract set up in place for after the trade is consummated.

and why draft a QB? This is not the year to do that.

I think the fact that Marcus Vick was suggested as a draft pick automatically makes this thread Spam.

Hey smarty pants,

Did you read the original post? The intent of the original poster was related to not getting Harrington. We are pursuing Harrington because he has N.F.L. experience and there is a good chance C-pep won't be ready to start the season.

Who's the genius now? Genius! :shakeno:
