We need LB help and i think Saban will try to get him in the supp. draft. We didnt draft a LB and we did try to get Arrington so we wanna shore up the LB position. If we could get him with a 3rd thatd be a steal.

If Brooks shows that he's ready to play, I wouldn't mind using a 3rd or 4th on him. :)

Off the top of my head, I could be totally wrong, but I thought he played ILB..... not OLB.

Oh, he did. You'd have to hope Crowder could play the strongside spot for this to be ideal.

I would still draft him for the long run. Zach isnt getting any younger and pretty soon we need to be thinking about a replacement for him. Crowder I believe can play all 3 LB positions but I think he is best inside at the MLB or WLB spot. I would look at Brooks as a possible replacement in a few years for ZT, not as a starting OLB.

i didn't know we had a need for a fat, pothead middle linebacker. maybe ahmad brooks in '03, but he's a different guy and player now.

With the resurgence of the 3-4, I'd take him alongside Zach in the middle.

That's the thing, he does play MLB or ILB in the 3-4. But, Thomas is getting older and we'll eventually need someone to replace him, but I think Thomas can still play another 3-4 years with us. Brooks has some character issues, and to be honest with you, unless we can him with a steal like Manuel Wright last year, I wanna keep most of our picks for next season's draft.

Brooks can play any of the linebacker positions, inside or out. If hes commited hes the perfect replacement for Seau.

I'm thinking Zach may have as few as 2 years left with the Dolphins, so I agree with you there.

Sad human being, this Brooks kid. Loads of talent and skill, but serious character issues.:fire:
