i am very surprised that i have not seen any threads for the new game NFL Head Coach that is coming out for PC, XBOX, and PS2 on June 20th. In this game you basicially play GM and Head Coach by hiring your staff and drafting players as well as signing free agents. You also run practices and call plays in games. All in all I am insanely excited for it and cannot wait.

It feels a little wrong to play a game as saban, but hopefully i can be as good as him:wink:

no. but you can talk to your quarterback and change plays and talk with your coordinators.

it is a football strategy game

Build your team through drafts, trades and free agency
Develop and refine your own playbook and strategies
Motivate players during practice and games to maximize their success
Oversee a full staff of assistants and coordinators to help you run the team
Scout each opponent and devise special gameplans for every game
Call all the shots, from preseason training camp, practices and games
Instill a winning attitude that will make your team a champion and make you a Hall Of Fame head coach.

Yup would have been better if you could do this in Franchise mode in Madden 07.They are just out to make money.

It's cute. BUT YOU CAN'T PLAY THE GAME! It's like playing chess, and you can't have any control of your players. Like making a tackle, a catch, deflecting a pass, throw, juke, spin, hurdle. I don't like it, and I think all the franchise in-depth features should of just been included in Madden. Making it even better.

just seems like it would get boring real quick not being able to control the players....

ah, no biggie, lol.

As far as the game, I'll prolly rent it. With NCAA coming out a month later then Madden month after that it'd be pointless to buy it, I don't have much time for video games as it is.

I don't get why people keep saying this. The game is not merely an expanded franchise mode. The spirit and playability are supposedly completely different, not to mention it's a lot more lengthy and detailed, judging from the previews. If you wanted to play franchise mode without simulating 90% of it, you might be spending a week to get through training camp.

Besides, Madden has been going nowhere the last few years. The game is stuck in a rut.

i am really excited about this game, i always wanted to try and be the coach and GM. I read an interview some where, where the guy says that it takes liek 6 hours from sunday to sunday to do the practices and all that stuff. Really indepth can't wait, im tired of the same old madden i want to try something different.

BTW this is to indepth to put in madden, it would take a year just to play 1 season plus Ps2 proably isn't big enough but hte Xbox360 should be

If they do it right, this game could be huge (funner than madden). To turn a head coaches ACTUAL responsabilities into a game is huge. There is WAY too much that a coach has to experience and go through to implemented well in madden imo.

Great idea to me. Knowing EA though, it'll be just good enough to make a profit.

This game could be really fun, but I think that it will most likely disappoint especially in its first year. I think they might make a sequel or two and then it could die out. I think it could be great though and I might rent it. I wish they would just work on getting more indepth with the draft and free agency and stuff on Madden though.

this should be fun. i usually get bored of playing the game aspect in madden and just resort to all the different strategy options, so this is perfect...
