Coming up and I need some gift ideas for the Mrs.

Why I am asking? Well the this is the first time I made it past the wall which for me was the 18 month mark.

These are uncharted waters for me.

Please help make sure I don't **** this up.

I don't have a suggestion about what to buy her. I guess it would depend on what she likes.

One safe thing you might consider is to do something thoughtful like preparing her favorite meal for her, set aside a romantic evening to share it with her, and buy her her favorite flowers or (even better) a live tree to plant in your yard to commemorate the occasion.

Regardless of what you decide, congrats on the anniversary.

I just had my 1 year ann. March 19, wife had the baby on he 12th, so I got off the hook on buying a gift. I would recommend a nice set of earrings can be had for 120$ or less. A nice dinner, or an evening at a bed and breakfast. A bottle of wine, sit by the fire. Nice relaxing evening. good luck, and congrats.

Well normally I would chime in with something sarcastic which would surely NOT get you laid. However Im in a good mood today so I will suggest this:

Do something out of the ordinary that you normally dont do to show her how much you care about her. If you dont cook and she normally does, learn a good recipe and cook her dinner. If you dont dance (I know your not as white as me), take her out for dinner and dancing. If you are cheap, take the day off for a day at the spa or some crap like that. Women eat that stuff up. Anything where you can spend quality time together the entire day is a good idea.

I happen to cook a lot, worked in a few restaurants back in the day, so because I know the woman loves seafood, I cooked us lobster, crabcakes, and shrimp scampi for dinner and because I know she loves the outdoors, during the day we went hiking and talking through the mountains, and because she has a great memory, I took her out for drinks at the place where we first met.

Then I got scrumph. Oh yea.

I actually cook quite a bit so thats nothing new.

Last Friday, I took her to Miami and we spent the weekend there. Took her to see David Copperfiel which was something new for the both of us and we also had dinner at a nice waterfront restaurant. That was supposed to be "it" for our anniversary which is on May 10th. That weekend was not good for either of us and neither was this coming weekend so we did it last week. But since the "day" is next Wed.. I still feel like at they very least I should send her a card and flowers. Or am I off the hook?

Thats where my dilemma is. You know how women are. They put a lot of emphasis on the "date" of the event and not the event itself.

Question: Is the "Misses" your wife or girlfriend??? :D

Take her on a nice long drive and then go to romantic restaurant. Give her a nice gift, sweet talk her.....simple but memorable.

Brother Dub, if she likes flowers, send a dozen roses to her work early in the day, and take her out for a nice romantic dinner. If you do that bro, you will be taken care of later in the night!

I think Dub wants the "gift" to come from him MW, so that won't work.. :PHINATIC13:j/k sorry Dub, just funnin' ya.Seriously try talking to her bestfriend(s) and find out from her something your woman wants to do or go(within reason:wink:).I've used it.:D(NOT FOR ANNIVERSARY though). Also anything spontaneous, women love to do stuff on a whim.

Fin Fan in Cali has the flower part right, women loves getting flowers at work.Better than at home where really no one sees them.

A nice dinner is good but an inexpensive piece of jewelry is always nice.Something with a heart or in her birthstone perhaps,it's something she can wear forever or whenever.

CONGRATS Dub. :)
