Yeah but it only has a 100 mile range. The problem with electric/battery cars is you always have to recharge them all the time.

Yea, and the Ferrari still looks 92598375876 times cooler than that thing, but it's a pretty good preview of future technology. If they can make longer lasting batteries, this is a VERY good technological advancment. You have clean running cars but with the power of high end exotic cars.

I would love a battery electric car if it could get about 500 miles betwen charges. I see those Toyota Prius cars go by me and they don't make any noise at all. The hybrids are cool. It would be great to tell all the Arab countries and other oil producing countries to get lost by not needing their fuel anymore.

hey they are working on these types of cars and it is not outside reason that in 5 years or so we might be buying an electric car that will go all day without recharge

That is pretty cool. It would be nice to tell opec and friends to go (CENSORED) themselves. :D

"To bring any EV to the masses, of course, will require much improved battery technology. But a handful of startups backed by Valley VCs are claiming that big advances are just around the corner. Menlo Park-based Li-on Cells claims that its technology will double the performance of lithium-ion batteries for about half the cost."

Sounds promising. :)

I guess they could produce solar generators to recharge with when power wasn't available from conventional sources.
