I saw it earlier this evening. It was quite enjoyable. I've always respected Cruise as an actor ever since seeing Born on the Fourth of July, and he does a pretty good job reprising his role as Ethan Hunt. The plot left a bit to desire, but you can say that about virtually everything Hollywood pumps out today...

In a word, you get an action-packed film with a little bit of Philip Seymour Hoffman (Best actor in Hollywood today? Very possible) on the side...Really, what more could one ask for from a summer popcorn flick?

Rating: I give it three out of four Al Gores

I'll wait for the DVD. I'm excited for Da Vinci Code and X3.

Man I'm nervous about X3...I really hope it's good, but there's still that hesitation with the Ratman directing, the horrible early script reviews and all the talk of a rushed production and such. My fingers are crossed.

Back on topic, haven't seen MI3 yet...not sure if I'll see it in theaters. I liked the first one and had mild interest in the 2nd one (enough with the doves John Woo!!)

The opening scene could be the best 5 minutes of acting that I've ever seen, everything that followed was average.

There has to be a really overpowering reason for me to make an exception to go to a theater instead of waiting for DVD. Besides the exhorbitant prices you always have jackarses who have to talk during the movie. Argh, that's annoying.
