Actually it's trompe L'oeil....ohhh la la....

that's French, and it means, "to fool the eye"

they built the garage right in front of their house so, their living room window looks at the back wall of the garage....this is why they wanted the mural....this is the view from inside....

I just spent more time with them, very nice indeed, when we meet, I'd love to discuss vanishing points and such. I found out the hard way just how difficult it is to paint big, I never did get it, so I quit trying.

I never saw it before but, you're right, there is a resemblance....

They are both Tuscan scenes.

Somewhat....the buildings on the left have a different vanishing point then the ones on the right....both are off center by a foot or two.....and then the street, the pavers, and the arch itself are all set to a center vanishing point....

I can go to 400% increase on those and still get very little blur.....that's 8.1 megapixels baby....
i just got that camera the other day...it was a replacement for one i got for christmas that lasted a flippin month...:shakeno:

The one that turned out to be a piece of crap was a Konica Minolta D'image x1

This one is a Sony cyber-shot DSC N1.....very cool camera....it even has touch-screen focusing..:dday:
