Just heard a report on CNN that says that you are more likely to be hurt by a Hamster than a shark - which I found amusing after reading this
The craziest thing I have ever done is: Swim in the ocean after all of those shark attacks. I really don’t feel like getting chewed up. - Derrick Rodgers

this was the report: http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/science/03/13/shark.study/index.html

Scientists say people are more likely to be hurt by a hamster than by a shark. Research shows that some shark populations – including the great white shark that was the villain in Stephen Spielberg's thriller "Jaws" – are facing steep declines of up to 90 percent in the last 15 years.

It's true, because of fishing and the slaughter of sharks in the Australia, New Zealand area, you can go days and days without seeing a single Great White, much less one over 8 feet long. If you see one 15-20 ft long, consider it a good day. After seeing how his novel and the movie affected the Great White population, Peter Benchely along with Rodney Fox, has gone on a crusade to save the Great White shark. You know, it's statistically proven that you have a greater chance of being struck by lightning than getting attacked by a shark.

As for them damn hamsters, you gotta tape 'em up real good 'cause if they get loose and keep travelin' up yer tract, yer in for a world o' hurt.
