Don't know if this has been brought up before but you should check out http://www.pandora.com

Sign up for an account (they don't send you any email amazingly enough). Anyway, you create your own radio stations based on bands you like and it tries to find other bands you'll like based on your tastes.

I'm addicted to it.

My first bump ever.

Are you so entranced by Pandora that you can't reply or do you need a boot to the face? 100% spam-free music you'll love. I'd pimp my sister for this site.

True.

So what's your latest find? Mine is the Burden Brothers. The Toadies were a huge favorite of mine a few years ago but they broke up. I found out through Pandora that the lead singer of The Toadies is now with Burden Brothers.

My best station so far has been the one I started with International Noise Conspiracy (with a couple of additions of course).

Make a new station with INC and work from there (you've got 100 to mess with anyway).

100 stations? or songs?

Stations. Let yourself go wild. Anytime you think of an artist you want to hear create a new station and mold it from there. I've been losing sleep over this trying to find something they don't already have in their database.

Go to pandora.com and enter a song or artist that you love, they will play other songs that fit your musical style. It is amazingly accurate too.

yeah i think there was a thread on this a few days ago. my overall opinion is that it's a great idea but doesn't have too many bands that i like.

I tried it but they are missing Crush 40 and Hardline, my favorite two bands.

I've had two hits and one bad miss so far. Fascinating concept, though, and the site is designed extremely well.

yes, this was previously posted in N-A's thread, For music lovers (http://www.finheaven.com/boardvb2/showthread.php?t=144552)

the following link is a really good review of a bunch of sites similar to Pandora (be sure to read the comments section at end of the article, there are some others named there that aren't in the article):
http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,1967383,00.asp

hopefully you (and others) can find even more music you like

I think it's really interesting to put in an artist -- then put in a song by that artist. It can occasionally create two strongly divergent stations.
