I just got back from HardRock Hotel/Casino... I walked in with $500... Walked out with $1,120. Texas Hold'em... I had no idea such a thing was possible, especialy with my luck. Walking in, I had my mind set on blowing five hundred dollars of the Coffee ladys settlement; the thought never crossed my mind that I could even break even, let alone up 620$. Usualy my threads are funny, but this time it is actually scary.

I am not going to become an addict because I can say with a bit of certainty that that will NEVER happen again. I have gone to HardRock once a month with $100 since I turned 18, plus I played Blackjack in New Orleans a few times. I have come out up mabey twice before this, both times in NOLA.

is it different on the East coast or something?

I know you can play the state lottery in California when your 18, but any Casino you have to be 21

Learn something new everyday. Good to see, that on the east coast they let you get addicted to a bad habit 3 years earlier in life.

Only if they serve alcohol and a bar within the gaming area. Thats why vegas you have to be 21. If they dont then it's 18.

I only know of one Indian Casino here in Ca that you have to be 21 and its because they serve alcohol in the gaming area.

I believe it is up to the casino, obviously Hard Rock is 18. Honestly at Hard Rock I dont think it would even matter, I have never been carded once at that place.

This is true. When I turned 18 I went South to Winnevegas Casino of the Winnebago Tribe Of Nebraska. I won $50,000 my first time out, only it was in a drawing, not on the tables or slots. Not bad all but I was mad they scratched my Sundance (the valet I mean). Dumb@ss. :fire:

Oh and PassRush, what was with the Coffee Lady? What's the story there?
