domino's is cheaper, but all their pizzas have little burnt crums stuck to the bottom of the pizza. its really annoying.

Pizza Hut is more expensive but has great pizza and great crust. if you pick up a piece of crust, your fingers will be shinny for an hour :D .

so i will say pizza hut.

Little Caesers.

1. LC - Best overall taste.
2. Papa John
3. PH - Better toppings than Dominos.
4. Dominos crust is bland and tasteless.

Of the two Pizza Hut. Domino's is ok too.

My personal favorite is Big Apple from Stuart. I liked Little Caesars but I think they have all closed in my area. Many years ago there was a place called Sportsmans Inn in West Palm that had good pizza and place in Stuart called Gino's that was pretty good. Sucks when places you like close down.

In some states in the Midwest, they have Godfather's Pizza....really good thick pizza, kind of like deep dish. They have it here on the military bases. Good stuff. I like NY style pizza a little better. Can't find too many places here that make it like back East.

this reminds me of one of my threads

err, cant really said i've tried a domino's but they do look great. while i love their pizza, i hate the way pizza hut make you wait in the entrance PRETENDING their some kind of fancy posh-a** restaurant when we all know the fact is, they spit in the food just as much as mcdonalds do! :spit:

Yuck..... neither.

Domino's is cardboard with sauce
Pizza hut is soggy and greasy crap.

If I have to go "fast food Pizza" I call Pappa Johns without fail but 9/10 times I go with a local Pizzaria. Fast Food pizza can't compete with a good family owned pizza place.

TJamesW_phinfan

Quality can vary a good bit too inside a franchise. Between two pizza huts near me one was pretty consistantly good the other pretty consistantly bad. Over cooked, poorly topped, etc.

We have many in our area

Debbies Pizza - Decent pizza, really old fashioned
Pizza Queen - Really cheap pizza...garbage mostly
Pizza Box - Just regular pizza, cheap too and its good
Mama Vitoes - Pretty good pizza...sauce is a bit spicy though
Michaels Pizza - I havnt been there in a couple years but it was decent
Jim and Nenas Pizza - Sweet Sauce on the pizza...its real real good

Thats all that comes to mind right now

These are within 6 miles of my house too

Domino's is horrible. Trust me I worked there. Pizza Hut is alright but there's way better out here. I'll take Round Table or Aladinos(local joint where I go and watch Dolphins games and the owner likes me so I get the big screen)

yes...now only if they delivered...:D

The one on Nuckols does. I think the one down in Midlothian/Chesterfield does as well. Sadly, I live about 2 miles outside the delivery range of the one on Nuckols.

I answered Pizza Hut on the poll because of the same reason somebody else mentioned -- STUFFED CRUST. It's more than that, though. Dominos blows.

There's a ton of good pizza here in Richmond. I love it. I don't know how I existed the 6 or 7 years I was down in Macon, GA. Nobody had a clue about the pie or anything else Italian. It was sad.

Since I won't be the first to list a bunch of local places, I like:

1) Gino's (a stone's throw from my apartment) at Virginia Center Marketplace
2) Bottom's Up
3) Appollo's (also a stone's throw from my apartment)
4) California Pizza Kitchen (out at Short Pump Town Center)
5) Brick Oven (up in Ashland)
6) Gino's (a totally different one in Hanover)
7) Vinny's (a stone's throw from my apartment as well -- ranked so low because I haven't ordered pizza there due to their awesome calzones)

There are actually so many good places here that I have stopped trying places.

Now that you mention it, I did have some good pizza from a little hole in the wall place on Bank St. in Petersburg when I worked down there the last two summers. I forget the name of the place, though. It might have been Angelo's.

I get down to within spitting distance of that area so infrequently that it will probably be a while before I check them out. I'll try to remember, though.

I also had the Hut tonight. While I have a ton of good local places around me, the one thing I have to resort to the chains for is delivery. Sadly, even the chain pizza up here is superior to what it was in Macon, Georgia. It was the same way when I lived in Alabama. It's like they can't make the dish to save their lives down in the deep south.

I went with the classic pepperoni. That's the way I like to roll. Occasionally, I'll order the whole meat lover's type, but I usually like to stick to pepperoni or even just cheese.
