If we were to acquire Ahmad Brooks in this years supplemental draft and he pans out for us we as a team would have basically taken care of our biggest weakness therefore we would be able to pick the best player available instead of having to fill a gap in our roster. Saban and Mueller are taking this team into a great direction, soon we can become perennial winners instead of inconsistent year in and year out.

We will always have oles to fill. The team is getting older, and contracts end. I am excited to see how we look this season, then we should know more on what to expect for next years draft.

This is true but that is why it is important for Matt Roth, Manny Wright and the other youngsters to step up so that when the contracts of our aging veterans stars end, they won't be missed as much. When these guys become starters the process of adding depth through the draft and free agency begins again.

I would like to see us get that Blades kid out of Pitt.

If Zbikowski runs a good 40 I would not mind him in the first. Him and Jason Allen would be a great young safety combo.

I can see us looking for a SS next year and more defensive and offensive lineman, as well as one more LB even if we get Brooks.

He would be sweet....I think he will run well, he returns punts for them.

Yeah that kid is amazing! I saw him play in high school and the guy can flat out play. He's a monster and i've only heard good things about him.

I see us looking towards Laron Landry again. And there's plenty of room to keep upgrading on the offensive line

Mark my words. We will draft a player on defense in the first round for the second year in a row. Anybody have a list of SEC players on defense who are eligible for the 2007 Draft?

We are set at the skill positions with Daunte Culpepper, Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams, Chris Chambers and Randy McMichael for a long time.

We need to continue to get younger on defense.

Maybe that LB from PSU, Podzluski or something like that? Smart kid kind of reminds me of Zack.

I don't think that PSU backer will be as good as Siler or Everett in the pros

I have a gut feeling that if JaMarcus Russel declares, the QB from LSU, that we will get him. i think he will be able to get drafted in the 2nd or 3rd rounds. Especially if he loses his starting job to Matt Flynn, I have a feeling he will just enter the draft since he won't be eligible to transfer. I know we don't need a QB but this is someone we could groom to replace Cpep. Other than that there are a few kids from the SEC I could see us going after.

1. Laron Landry, LSU

2. JaMarcus Russell, LSU

3. Justin Vincent, LSU( depends on how he returns from his injury, He will lose3 time to Alley Broussard and could fall to the middle rounds of the draft. Is a very talented RB that Saban might look at to back up Ronnie.)

4. Jessie Daniels, LSU ( I think we will target a DB with our first round selection next year. I think he will go for a talented SS, I am hoping we get Michael Griffin from Texas. I know it is a long ways away but anyways. I think Jessie is a player that Saban could also look at in the middle rounds.)

5. Brandon Siler, LB Florida ( Don't know much on him but from what I do know hw is a very talented LB, he may enter the draft early.)

6. Andre Caldwell, WR Florida ( I think that we will be targeting another WR next year as IMO Booker will not be with us in '07.)

7. Anwar Phillips, LB Mississippi St.

8. Kevin Sears, LB Auburn

9. Will Herring, LB Auburn

10. Tyrone Prothro, WR Alabama

11. Juwan Simpson, LB Alabama( Don't exactly know where he stands on the team. I know he has been in trouble recently.)

I look a little more tommorrow, I getting kind a tired.

Landry all the way. We need to pick up another S and we'll be set for a long time. The potential of Allen and Landry together would be scary. I'd say either S or LB in the 1st round. I hope we use our 1st rder on a defensive player tho.

We're going to need help at OLB in a big way next year. I have every confidence in Zach Thomas and Channing Crowder, but it's who plays opposite Crowder that's going to make a big difference in how the front seven plays.

I'm leaning towards Willis and here's why:

WILLIS' CAREER HIGHS
TACKLES: 15, three times, most recent vs. LSU (11/19/05)
SOLO TACKLES: 11, twice, most recent vs. MSU (11/26/05)
TFLs: 3.0, twice, most recent vs. LSU (11/20/2004)
QB SACKS: 2.0, at LSU (11/20/2004)
PASS DEFLECTIONS: 1, four times, most recent vs. LSU (11/19/05))
QB PRESSURES: 3, vs. Mississippi State (11/27/2004)

The dude eats LSU for breakfast and comes back for seconds. We all know how Saban likes to take guys that have either played for him or tore his team up. This guy qualifies in a big way.
