Daunte with only 20 TDs? That's not even 2 a game!

We have Ronnie. He could score 1-2 a game. That's averaging 28 points a game, I'll take it. Throw in 1-2 FGs a game and we're over 30 ppg :)

MEE TOO, its about time

WHY? why do we deserve credit? for almost making the playoffs?

jeeeeeeeeesus, i have as much faith as any of you in next seasons team, but what have we done the past few seasons to deserve praise?

not saying that we shouldnt have lofty predictions, but i dont think "its about time" considering we havent done anything in a few years.

i think c-pepp will have more then 20 td's, if gus frerotte throw 18 td's last year and c-pepp is projected just 2 more then him? this is strange...i think 25-30 is a better projection for him, but in my opinion he will have more then 30 td's...

you're right that we haven't done much the past few years, but i'll take last year's finish (and start, i might add) as a sign of things to come. we went from 4-12 to 9-7. that is a pretty good jump if you ask me, granted some of those final six games were against losing teams. heck, they are still professional teams to me. like how the 49ers beat the rams the first weekend or how we won against the mighty chargers. any team can win or lose on any given sunday. anyway, my point is, that's why they are called predictions. if you choose to stay off the wagon, that is also a choice. but i for one am with 97% of the guys on here. it's a season full of promise and i will stay optimistic.:shakeno:

Why do people even care if the media gives us credit or not? I simply do not understand this at all. All off season all I seem to read is this guy or media outlet has it out for us or some crapola like that. As I type this I have already lost interest in finishing this thread, just like I do a million times. I would love to just chalk it upto the offseason but lameness of threads on all boards are at an all time high at the moment...

2/game would be 32 TDs.
How many QBs get at least 32 TDs???
Maybe 2 or 3 per year.

And Daunte's coming off knee surgery, new WRs, new coaches....

I'd be happy with 25 TDs, in his 1st year here.

Nice read, good thread for these boring times, thanks!

DC will get 25-30 td's IMHO, And while we don't DESERVE much props, as we haven't EARNED them, it is still nice to see some of the media thinking like we homers do.

I'm with you.... I remember when Jimmy Johnson came in and how the media (and myself included) had all these lofty expectations. Jimmy Johnson was a proven college and NFL coach with a Nation championship and Super Bowl to prove it. Dan the man was still at the helm also..... Don't get me wrong, I believe this Miami team will be different, but I'd still rather be under estimated.
