I'm a big fan of the comic-book superhero movies but I'll admit that I'm not a big buff on the history/back story of the characters.

One of the things that has bothered me for a long time is what happened to Peter Parker/Spiderman's parents? I know he's raised by Uncle Ben and Aunt May but the movies never explain his parents nor has any of the comic books I have.

Hopefully someone can help me out on this.

From the Spider-Man wiki page... (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spider-Man#Early_life)

Peter Benjamin Parker's parents Richard and Mary Parker, CIA and later S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, are killed on a mission. The infant Peter Parker is left in the care of his Uncle Ben and Aunt May Parker, who live in the Forest Hills neighborhood of Queens, New York.

im the same... i also never knew how off they were in the movie in certian spots...

Peter graduates from high school and enrolls at Empire State University (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empire_State_University). There, he meets Harry Osborn (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Osborn) and Gwen Stacy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gwen_Stacy), who are friends with Flash Thompson. His aunt introduces him to Mary Jane Watson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Jane_Watson), whom he dates for a short time, but he soon falls in love with Gwen. Harry, meanwhile, becomes Peter's best friend and roommate, but starts using illegal drugs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illegal_drug_trade).
Harry's father, Norman Osborn, is revealed to be the Green Goblin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Goblin), and discovers Spider-Man's secret identity. After Gwen's father is killed in a battle between Spider-Man and Doctor Octopus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Octopus), their relationship is put on hold when she travels to Europe. Shortly after she returns, Harry suffers a drug overdose (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drug_overdose).

in the movie peater and hary were friends in highshool...he grew up with mary jane insted of getting entroduce...and harry never suffered a drug overdose unless thats in the next one...but you expect that in movies based on comic books... or on books in general

the only problem with wikipedia is that anyone can edit it, i can go and create a finheaven.com page right now if i want on it, im just lazy and it would be pointless

kinda kills wikipedias credibility when anyone can edit any topic on this site

not only that but I dislike how a lot of people just glance at an article about topic X and then think they know everything there is to know about topic X.

yea im not a fan of when you are discussing something or arguing something and someone whips out sources to try and prove their point and its wikipedia. i can litterally go to that page and edit the info to no longer mean what the person used it for and change it to my opinion. at school we would have papers thrown out of anyone used wikipedia as a source.

kinda like using an analogy to prove an argument. weakest foundation for an argument

I know that Peter Parker's parents were killed on a mission. In the comic books they come back only to be clones created by the Camelion to get to Peter Parker .
